That's probably too optimistic. Better aim for near Relegation and winning the champions League cup 🙄
I'm asking Ange haters the question, so there is an expectation set.

For me top 7 and making a semi or final in a domestic cup should be enough to keep him around another season. It shows improvement in league whilst still being able to compete in cups. He will likely exceed this is we stay healthier than this year and make a few astute transfers.

I'm resigned to the fact that Ange is going to be here for another season, he's earned it with the cup win as far as I'm concerned but if I had my way I'd want us to part ways...regardless of this we could be setting ourselves up for another year with Ange then if he flops there's always the possibility of Poch in 2026...

So a top 5 finish and no trophies is acceptable to you?
I don't think a copy and paste of the first season is good enough. There needs to be something to show that we've stepped up a gear - I want to see a real, sustained run at the top of the league. We might not quite have what it takes to be league champions at this point but we need to be in the final shake up. He basically needs to emulate golden era Poch.

To fulfill his promise about the third season, I think we need to be looking at 3rd or higher. I would accept 5th and competitive performance in the cup competitions but 5th and crapping out in the cups - not good enough. Ange has promised progress and that's what he needs to deliver.

Jeez Louise.

Difficult right now to find a more miserable bunch of “supporters” than the Ange-out crew. In 40 years time, when your grandchildren ask you “where were you when Tottenham won the Europe League?”, do you really want to tell them “I was sitting in front of my computer, bagging the manager”?

You’ve been having a crack at him for God knows how long, and now that the season finale didn’t work out the way you wanted, you are standing there with egg on your face. Do you use this moment of history as an opportunity to flush the bile down the toilet, and give it a rest for a few days? No, you double down and spread your misery with even greater enthusiasm. Wow. Just wow.

While it is debatable that as of late January Ange downgraded the EPL and used it as a sandbox for the Europe League campaign - hey, it worked.

Every team at some point needs luck, on Wednesday we got some in respect we were playing a dogshit Utd team any other half decent team from any other country we’d have been in trouble but hey ho that’s how it goes…….Pochettino had luck in buckets on that run to the CL final we didn’t get there because we were good we got lucky……

Nothing lucky about that though is there, you can only play who's in front of you and Utd deserved to get to the final. We were arguably the favourites for a reason.

It's actually the opposite, we lost 3 key players and 3 creators, nothing lucky about that.

I agree, top 5 and competing in a cup should be where we get to to deem it a 'successful season' but I'm sure he is aiming even higher.

he told us he goes out to win every game, but now he says he sacked off the league in Feb to focus on EL
he told us he won't change and in the league he hasn't yet in EL we all see he changed, So why didn't he change in the league (rest players but play more defensive) we would have picked up more points, yes only got to around 10th (but thats a lot better then losing 21 games and finishing 17th)

Thanks Ange , like Ramos and Graham you won us a trophy but the league form over the last 18 months is relegation form and I cannot believe we would be willing to risk another season with this guy again . Mutual consent , thanks for Bilbao but the constant no shows in the league or willingness to adapt your style tells me we need a change . If paratici is coming back I’d be shocked if he advised levy to keep this guy on . Time for this club to be serious

Whilst the success of this season (winning a trophy) will be forever in the history books, in the short term it will be forgotten soon enough.

More significantly it's the moment where a long held and lazy toxic narrative about the club has finally shifted. Everyone around the club, certainly the manager but also our owners and our supporters; we have to do everything in its power not to lose that next season.

We must consolidate now and not backside. A domestic trophy is actually really important for this, coupled with a respectable, European qualifying league position.

I'm not convinced that ange is the answer but, after landing the club a trophy in can't see Levy getting rid just yet.
We are all caught up in the emotional element of it and quite rightly.
I think the club will allow him to continue if though, its following the same pattern as this season then he gets binned.
His statement about the third season was uplifting, although he has put himself under pressure with it but, he is installing a positive and winning mindset.

He was just talking about Breaking Bad Season 3, not sure where you are drawing conclusions from haha.

In seriousness though, would you sack him if he won champions league and we finished 10th?

LISTEN MATE!

Was out after his poor league form.
Was back in after seeing the reporters wind him up.
All in now.

What's our goals next year?
He wants more.

A new manager will only want CL place.

Plus our goal difference and injured defence hints at a team who can be better.

I want him to get in more fights with reporters and be Top of the League:)

COYS MATE

Not drawing any conclusions mate, just noted what he said will place him under pressure with the press with that comment, but fair play to him he proved them wrong.
Chelsea finished outside the top four years ago and one a CL it happens, our league form has been the worst for many a year but I don’t think it will be bad next season.
Look let's just enjoy this moment and hope that they, have absorbed all that winning feeling and want more of it.

I've been Ange Out as much as anyone else the last six months or so and I'm certainly not convinced all the flaws we've seen this season will dissapear next season, especially considering we will have to combine Premier League and Champions League. I'm absolutely worried that the injuries will start occuring again in October/November. I'm also not convinced he will be able to get us playing in a sustainable and successful way during an entire season.

However, right now it kind of feels like we can't sack him. Whoever replaces him, especially if it's someone like Silva, Frank etc, will get questioned at the slightest bad result with "why did we sack the manager who brought us our first trophy in 17 years for this?!" or something along those lines.

Also, and probably most importantly, whatever I think of Ange, the players clearly adore him. It's highly likely that the squad would take it very badly if Ange was sacked now.

So I'm not convinced on Ange's abilities as a head coach, but he's proved himself to be one hell of a leader.
A comparison with Conte is interesting at this stage. No one would question Conte's tactical credentials but a manager like him who was more focused on his own ego than understanding what the club needed and delivering it - always going to fail. Ange recognised the big psychological changes needed for a traumatised club like us to win something again and delivered an effective plan. He's had the balls to show the strong leadership required and the emotional intelligence to know exactly what buttons to press with his team and how to sell a vision. And he has a winners mentality.
I don't think he's currently the full package as a great manager, but in the Europa campaign he's finally shown some movement in one of my biggest criticisms of him, his inflexibility.
He's absolutely earned the right to stay but I think having a coaching team that challenges him sometimes and compensates for his weaker areas needs to be addressed as a priority. However, managers like him with the ability to communicate a vision are a rare breed and I don't see another one waiting in the wings.
I think that’s exactly how I feel post final now.

Bolster the coaching team behind him with some elite level coaches and let Ange do what he clearly does best in motivation and togetherness.

Frank, Silva etc, don’t look that appealing now.

Poch, Poch, Poch…… why? The guy that baring the CL had no real interest in cups and even at that right before the CL he says he is considering his position. Bottled an actual total race, and league cup quarter finals and finals domestically? I’d take this one season of winning an actual tangible trophy, over going back to a oh we have top 4-5.

I liked the guy but he is not the answer, supports always want the fancy man, when acrually he made hard work of PSG and ended up as a national coach for Murica?

So now you've solely focused on the negatives what were his positives?

Ange has that steel and bullish mentality to win trophies. Not sure though hes expansive or creative enough tactically with the demands of premier league or dealing with injuries. Quite a tricky decision by board to make. United had same problem with Ten Haag.
Ten Haag is a fair comparison, look how shit they are since he left, I’m sure there are a lot of United fans who actually regret him leaving .

Winning wise not much… he had a good personalty pundits liked him? I didn’t dislike him in anyway personality wise, I just don’t see what tangible things he accomplished with what on the most part was a very good squad of players including probably one of Englands best players in history, one of the most creative players in Eriksen at the time, arguably the best CB pairing at the time. I don’t see anything in what he has done since he left us that would make us take him back other than sentiment.
