No it doesn't ... it tells you the premier league aren't going to be gifted another CL spot by the powers that be, and don't want to take away a spot from the league when the reality is that teams already in the CL usually win the FA cup anyway because teams like Liverpool and City are in the running for it.

Mate, they made CL a prize of the EL BECAUSE it lacked prestige and UEFA wanted to incentivise the competition more. This is like saying because conference league gives Europa it is bigger than the league cup, despite the fact the conference league is fucking pointless and so shit West Ham can be "european champions".

you have to win the FA cup to even qualify for the europa loool. its a nonsense debate. even when the FA cup actually had prestige 20 years ago and the big teams took it seriously, it still wasnt a better trophy to win than the eufa cup.

european leagues domestic cup winners literally get qualification to the europa league from winning their domestic cups loool its a no contest.

The big teams don't even get in to the europa league to see if they'll take it seriously, because they're all in the champions league.

When they do end up in it, it's mostly a "why the fuck are we here" from the fans and half arsed performances unless they're having another crap season and need to qualify for champions league.

You can literally get europa league qualification in the prem now from finishing what, 7th is it? Or lower? I can't even work it out anymore, we'll probably have Nottingham Forest in it next season and I wouldn't be fucking surprised if they win it, they'd be one of the top 5 favourites.

the big teams dont take the FA cup seriously if they are in a title race or deep in europe. the FA cup lost its glamour decades ago due to the CL.

you said liverpool a couple years ago earlier, in which when klopp realised his arrogance had underestimated atalanta he threw the kitchen sink at the tie to try and get back into it. pep gave us the same arrogance when we made the final by putting a weakened city side out against us in the 1/4s of the CL, thought he could take the piss and bench KDB.

no ones saying that the europa is harder to win than the FA cup which is debatable as the side finishing 12th in the prem has just won it this year.... but the eufa cup has far more prestige in world football than an english domestic cup!

outside of the big 5 leagues, teams would rather win the europa than their own domestic league. europa is a far bigger achievement for the likes of celtic and rangers than a poxy scottish prem title.

Spot on mate.

It will be a disaster and we will ruin yet another league season, but this time there won't be a European trophy to save it.

All the goodwill, all the momentum, all wasted if we keep Ange.

Nobody has any evidence or anything to show that keeping Ange is the right decision for the club. It's just sentimentality and vibes.Because all the evidence suggests it will be a massive gamble and wrong decision to continue with him.


The only thing to do is to thank him for Bilbao and part ways. It makes too much sense.

Install a manager who can actually organise a team, who is tactically balanced, who can implement a SUSTAINABLE style of play that will have us fighting at the top end of the table AND also be able to hold our own in the CL.

Ange is not that person in anyway shape or form.

The only reason people want to keep Ange is because they like him.

They’ll be a favourite. Will depend on how much they put in to it. If they’re having a bad league season and it’s their easiest shot at the CL then they will be favourites. They’re a better team than we are.

If they’re in a top 4 fight then they will prioritise accordingly. Most teams don’t throw the league to try & win the Europa like we and United did.

We’re pretty shit, Ange is definitely shit, the Europa league isn’t shit it’s just second tier by definition and you can be as miserable as you like, personally not pretending everything is fantastic and that Ange has conquered europes elite doesn’t make me miserable.
