Can he be more judicious in the future? Can Angeball even function with a more patient mindset? For me he's earned the right to at least be heard out on those questions.

Oh for fuck sake he’s answered these questions already and it’s a complete no. Angeball doesn’t exist, it’s just suicidal bullshit that got worked out months ago. We won a cup by playing the total opposite vs subpar opposition.

Wake up.

This entire discussion feels so much more overcomplicated than it needs to be.

Has Ange shown any ability to manage two highly-competitive competitions at the same time? No, in fact he has admitted (whether you believe it or not) that he thew the league so he could just manage one.

Will next year be even more difficult than this past year? Yes, there will be even more attention to our league form at the start of next year, and he will be under instant and significant pressure if things sour at the start. There will be no easy walks for us in CL.

Do we honestly think that Levy will be out splashing the cash to give everything we can to Ange? No.

Keep it simple. Next year will be significantly harder with even higher levels of pressure. NOTHING that has happened this season shows Ange's ability to manage this load of games. Based on this past season, unless we come shooting out of the gate in top form, the pressure will go from 0-100 in about 5 games.

Yeah, we should sack him while he's on holiday. A WhatsApp should do it.

Classy. Sub-Chelsea. Is that who we've become?

I fucking despair.

:ange-hands-head:
We can't sack him while we are still in cups.

We can't sack him while he is on holiday.

What next? We can't sack him while Levy is still bald?

BTW they can always book a ticket and reach him face to face while he is on holiday. Tottenham Hotspur club needs to operate even when Big Ange is on holiday.

Interesting. When I think of normal, happy people whose club have just won a European trophy after 2 decades of abject failure, I don’t think of those frequenting this thread, moaning about the manager and crying about how they don’t like his personality(!) Unstable people with personal issues you say? Hate to say it, but that kind of checks out to be honest.

Let’s be real, some of you normal, happy people (lol) are in need of a wake up call. Here’s a fact supported by many, many years worth of incontrovertible evidence for you: Spurs don’t win trophies, Postecoglou wins trophies. Rather than circle jerking one another in here, your time would be better spent realising that finishing 4th or 5th and achieving absolutely nothing apart from making Levy richer year on year isn’t a worthwhile endeavour.

And here I was thinking I’d come in here and see all you normal, happy folks being normal and happy by basking in the warm glow of winning a European trophy. But no, this is some weird Stockholm Syndrome shit where legions of mini-Levys are desperate for a return to the business as usual of ‘winning’ their qualification trophies.

What was it Postecoglou said about weak foundations?

I agree that it’s not an ideal situation and perhaps he should have been told before he went on holiday if the intention is to sack him. Either way if we are a serious club then upsetting Ange whilst he is on holiday is a relatively small price to pay if delaying telling him will have a negative impact on our preparations for the new season. I am sure Ange has broad enough shoulders to cope.

Why do people think our league form will change under Ange going into his third season?

The worrying trend is we've been getting worse in the league under Ange with every passing week.

How the hell is he going to balance CL and PL?
Something he's clearly demonstrated he can't cope with, dealing with multiple competitions.

When we're mid table (or worse) and out of the all cups maybe the penny will drop.

Nicely put. Take all the emotion and culture war style rubbish out of it and that hits the nail on the head.

Very well put.

It's a cold decision to sack him, but it's the right one for the greater good of the Club.

Sports enterprises, whatever sport it is, succeed by being ruthlessly results-oriented and merit based.

Posting 1 ppg, being in the bottom quartile of the league or its equivalent would never cut it for any prestigious sporting club in any nation.

Spurs must decide, are we better than this? Are we a prestigious sporting club or are we Spam, Palace, whomever... with our dreams being dreams level with theirs, stealing away with a Cup every 20 to 100 years and being statisfied.

Everyone knows Ange can't hack it. The defenses of him devolve only to him "deserving" more time, not that anyone expects him to do anything with it. You don't deserve anything after leading us down to 17th

Lol... some of the flouncing about in these last 15 pages has been truly wondrous to read. Grown men stamping their feet and threatening to leave the club because the bag bad Aussie is so owwible... :roflmao:

Almost enough to make me want Levy to change his mind and give Ange a big new contract just to see the melts. :D

Almost...

Oh look, a sensationalist article from a tribal football clone site purely created to generate ad revenue quoting the fucking Daily Mail as its primary source that was published in... October 2018.....
Can you post literally one solitary shred of evidence that Poch suffered any manner of injury crisis in his first season at Spurs? Because I've checked and I'm pretty sure you can't.

Solid uno reverse trying to call me a liar, for calling out your....lies...

You can just admit at any point you were completely talking out of your arse as well.

This is all true and is the strong case for Ange Out.

All I'm really saying is that if Ange has a plan to get older and deeper and more experienced as a squad, show some tactical flexibility especially away in Europe, be thoughtful and take the best medical advice into account on training and the like (and he has said some of this stuff publicly, this isn't pure fiction), I am willing to hear him out with an open mind and good faith.

The way he's managed the team his first two years here would not be suited to the challenge we face immediately in the coming months. But I have a lot more respect for the good he's done in attacking the challenges as they existed when he got the job. It's not post-hoc bullshit to say winning a trophy, any trophy, was item #1 on his to-do list. Reinventing a wretched, broken (and losing!) playing style was another. Turning over the squad and getting younger was another. He's done those things. What's next?

We need to be ruthless and put our absolute best foot forward for our coming challenges as they exist. Lots of reason for skepticism that Ange is that option. But taking a minute to think and listen is well earned and well worth it.

That link wasn’t the first season I was talking out my arse when I said first season. I eyeballed it but we had multiple injury crises under Geoff Scott
