I think there are a lot of fans who would never want us to be 17th in a 20 league season again, and I put money that no team finishing 17th will ever again win a big competition.
We got fcuking lucky. Don't people understand that? At no point during the Europa were we so good. I would be saying the exact same thing had United won. Neither team last season were good for any sustained period. It's not good enough for clubs of such stature, not that United's plight is my concern.

PSG finished 15th in the Champions league ladder, had five losses in the CL, Could easily have gone out to Aston Villa and are now widely regarded as being different class to everyone else since winning it....

Having said that I have no fucking clue what the club is doing right now, they need to make a decision one way or the other on the manager. This should have been done at the end of the season. Its now eating into our planning and transfers time. Which I suppose suits the cheap skate Levy right down to the ground and will be his excuse.
And if next season we are up at the top end of the table no one else will give a flying fuck either.

I thought the whole point of bringing Ange in in the first place was because we were tired of watching win-now managers foist terrible anti-football on us week after week? How have we somehow done this bizarre 180 where being absolutely diabolical to watch for the entire season is fine and dandy if we get a pot at the end of it?
Football is entertainment at the end of the day. Watching Ange's Tottenham is not entertaining. I'd love for anyone to argue otherwise without using the first 10 games of last season as evidence.

I said PSG were the best team in it from the last 16. I had been saying they were the best teamfor a while,b ut I think there is a big difference between us and them.
17th is a long line of low points. That's a season which really hurts. That is turning up for numerous dates and being blanked or not getting to have a second date. It's dispiriting.
Just because you are then with the stunner at the end o season ball won't always compensate for what went before, and neither should it.
