The game i was disgusted with was first half away v everton. 3 nil. The tactics, performance and everything was pub standard. i dont really care if players come out moaning about Ange going. It was the RIGHT decision.
Christ that was terrible. I genuinely dont think i've seen worse than the first 60 mins of that game in 50 years. That 3 at the back looked like it had been cobbled together in a pub car park 5 minutes before kick off.

Reading all the players' comments on social media, still think that we would have been better off keeping him as a consultant of sorts, he seems to know how to talk to players and sell the Club to them.

It's all relative right. Maybe elevate wasn't the right word in this context but finishing 8th from 17th is literally elevation. A cup does trump no cup though.

Again, what trophy is anyone expecting to win this year? By default you're going to be disappointed this year because we aren't winning anything and this season will 'set us back 5 years.' We have about an 8th placed squad imo. We should've won the Europa, we were favourites from the start. We haven't really come close anywhere else. So this new thing where people are thinking we are some sort of cup team is a bit crazy to me. We have been a bad, bad side for a long time now.

As I said before, I'm not really a frank advocate. There's nobody out there that's really inspiring to me right now.
6th or higher would be elevation IMO. Those are European places.

Glasner is who we should be going after, not Frank.

Arteta hasn’t won jack shit. It’s the perfect angle.

I asked: if the scum decided Arteta wasn’t the man to win them the PL and CL, would they be hiring Frank or Rodgers?

Because we did just win something, so our next step should be to try and win the next level up from what we just won

Arteta won the FA Cup with them in his first season. Plus 2 community shields, not that they mean much.

My point is that Woolwich hired Emery to get him over the line and he didn't. They've had far more success with managerial punts. But they haven't won the league for over 20 years, so if they did try and hire someone to 'get them over the line', I severely doubt they would.

Liverpool just hired Slot, whose record was less than Ten Hag, and he won the league comfortably.

There's no precedent to hiring someone to take you up a level. We tried it with Mourinho and Conte and would have been far better hiring Sherwood again in all reality, because those two clowns just made a mess of everything

Tamworth nil nil after 90 minutes as well. Made some terrible recommendations on signings as well. Werner for starters. Im a bit astonished chris cowlin saying it was wrong to sack him. Totally disagree.

Like when liverpool finished 3rd when Van Dijk did a cruciate (pickford incident) and missed pretty much the entire season?
If VDV is Van Dijk in that scenario, did Liverpool also lose the equivalent of Romero, Vicario, Maddison, Udogie, Kulu, Solanke, Son, Johnson, Odobert, Bergvall, etc, most for long stretches of the season and numerous of them at the same time?

No. No they did not.

Those were merely suggestions, why don't you make a couple? You know very well who isn't good enough to manage Spurs after Angelos' massive achievement, so who is?

I’ve said for ages I’d go after Xavi

I’d at least see the dream and the daring in that appointment, even if there’s risk involved,

Would help massively with the dressing room too

Johnson, Bergvall and Gray were all heavily recruited by Brentford but ultimately they all decided they weren’t excited to work with Frank. Now he’s following them here like they can’t get away from him.

Community shields 😂😂😂😂😂

Goodnight mate

No-one knows that for sure re the EL, and finishing 10th and winning nothing wouldn't have had me and thousands of Spurs supporters singing in the streets of North London. As I said, only time will tell if this is a good move or not.
One thing I'm certain of is that if we'd sacked Postecoglou in season we wouldn't have won this trophy.

This isn't to say Postecoglou is a better manager or anything - it's just that priorities would have changed, players would have moved focus etc... We would have finished higher in the table for sure but a cup exit would have been the price.

I'm so annoyed his exit wasn't managed better. Now everyone is pissed - especially the dressing room. I think Frank is an excellent coach and will do well but Levy's fucked him early doors already. Not good enough.
