this is the problem. the same set of fucking losers have been allowed to loiter about for far too long. they need to be cut off and dumped ASAP. only one whos been here more than 5 years who should be allowed to stay is kane. the rest are not good enough and carry with them a loser mentality that brings everyone down.

lloris and dier need shifting asap, you build from the back and when you got them pair of muppets there you are bang in trouble. to be fair to the pair of them they are both well aware that they are the problem too, they are punching and they know this you can see it in the body language and facial expressions. play forster from now on, lenglet CCB and davies LCB, vital you keep these two out the team.

sess is just a really shit footballer whos scared of his own shadow, the least youd expect from this little twat is to give everything, youd think hed be fucking ashamed of picking up his wages. absolutely no dignity whatsoever, fair enough youre not good enough but how dare this little cunt show no fight.

son- had his day, is well and truly busted now. just like sess he has no fucking fight whatsoever and eventually even the ones who are still clinging onto hope with him will end up hating him. having no fight out there is the biggest sin there is.

emerson- we all know hes fucking shit and deluded, but at least unlike son and sess he has a bit of fight in him.

If I had it my way I'd sanction free transfers to get them all out. Not pay off their contracts, just say "find a new club and you can go for litte/nothing"
Lloris, Dire, Davies, Sanchez, Sessegnon, Royal, Winks, GLC, TND, PEH, Son, Moura

None of these players have a future in a club that has any kind of aspiration. And if they remain then it proves the club don't have any aspiration.

Our players can't do it though. Poor passers, poor touch, poor vision, poor tactical awareness. It's endemic all over the pitch.
Kane and Kulu are the only ones who actually can play football. IE, can pass, shoot, cross, tackle, position themselves, make runs, pass into space.
The rest are just athletes at best.
Benta has good feet, ditto Romero

Agree tho. So many of our players are woeful on the ball

That's fine, but for example NDomebele, why would he? He's a dick. I think he'd quite happily sit on his fat ass doing nothing and getting paid. The only way way shift that particular waste of space is by buying him out I fear.

Or we go down and don't even have the fight to come back.
Nah.

At least try and play attacking football.
To concede 2 goals in 8 of the last 9 matches (I think??) is a clear indication that the tactics aren't working.

No other team in the division have a record like that, and despite what some people might think, we do have better players than most of them.

The one vague positive is that Lloris, Doherty, Sanchez, Dier and Winks have contracts finishing summer 2024 so we just have to take anything we can get for them this summer. Moura and Lenglet will be off in 5 months. Still leaves a lot though.

Good read.

ANTONIO CONTE, TOTTENHAM AND THE FORBIDDEN BLUE DICE – THE WARM-UP

It was a historic day at Eurosport HQ on Monday as not a single football story featured in our top 20 articles overnight with the Australian Open in full swing (seriously, go check that out on discovery+ now… Andy Murray is probably in a fifth set somewhere). With the world of football somewhat sleepy, where better to turn our morning gaze than Tottenham Hotspur who, predictably, are in a muddle.

THE CHELSEA-SPURS CONNECTION

If at first you don’t succeed, keep appointing former Chelsea managers until you do. Tottenham have reached for the forbidden blue dice on three occasions in the past 11 years and rolled in the eras of Andre Villas-Boas, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Total trophies won in that period: well, you already know.

Now a new report in the Mail suggests Conte’s position is “increasingly uncertain” and that it would be “self-defeating” for Spurs to trigger a one-year extension “if their visions for the club are not aligned”. Which sounds awfully ominous.

It's started to dawn on Tottenham fans in recent weeks that regardless of who is in the dugout, their hunt for a proper trophy in modern times is probably never going to end. There’s only so many times they can be told “but Conte is a proven winner” before the evidence before their eyes takes priority. Spurs ruin good people. Even Conte seems powerless to stop it after the horrible 2-0 defeat to Woolwich on Sunday.

If we assume, as we definitely should, that Spurs will never win the Premier League or Champions League – the two trophies that matter – then why not have some fun? After all, we’re now in an age of UAE-backed Manchester City, Saudi-backed Newcastle and VAR-backed Manchester United. It’s just not going to happen for them unless they lure a Middle Eastern giant. And even then, they would conspire to spend £150 million on the next Grzegorz Rasiak.

Spurs were once an extremely likable club that always fell short. What happened to the chaos of the Martin Jol era? The “go out there and enjoy yourselves, lads” vision of Harry Redknapp? The generation-defining ideas of Tactics Tim? Even Mauricio Pochettino stayed true to that wisdom, coming closer than any modern manager but still delivering what all Spurs fans have grown to love: nothing.

But since Poch was booted out so a documentary series could have an opening scene, Spurs have lost their way. And for what? A slightly increased chance of winning a domestic cup and pathetic changing room 'bust-ups'?

That forbidden blue dice will surely be calling out to Daniel Levy once more. Dare he roll it again and land on Thomas Tuchel? He is surely the best available option to fix this mess – but then so too were Villas-Boas, Mourinho and Conte. Alright, just Mourinho and Conte.

But given Spurs fans just want to be happy, and a major trophy will forever elude them, why not just get on the blower to Pochettino and fail gloriously again?

Hopefully Lo Celso and Ndombele finally off the books as well. Kane and Son will most likely be gone to so we will need yet another full rebuild.

we will miss the boat on getting any significant dough for son just like we did with dele. like anything in life, if it takes you far too long to realise something obvious then you're going to get left behind.

the only two players from that list id keep is davies and PEH and thats as squad players. son should go to try and fetch a fee we can actually use to improve the first 11. GLC and TND need to go to recoup some of the 100m we we wasted. the rest are just fucking shit footballers that shouldn't be anywhere near a top 6 club. how the fuck is lloris of all people the fucking captain? watching his clown fuckups and that silly little incompetent face he does after, hes the last person on earth youd want as a fucking captain of your football club. if hes the captain what does it say about the rest of the squad?!

He is part of the rot this season he downed tools months ago. He is just trying to rehabilitate his image in the eyes of his next employers. Levy does not do enough but thinking Conte is innocent in this is ludicrous.
Exactly, everyone knew Saka was a threat…
What’s the plan?
Let’s our tried and trust 3/4/3 with sessegnon on him!
That shit is on him not levy

So he's weak, then time to move him on.

Life goes on, I bet there have been and are managers who suffered bigger, closer losses than a mate or a colleague and carried on regardless. Injuries happen to every team, no excuses, form is something a manager can do things about.

This is supposedly an "elite" manager?
Heartless comment

3rd highest scorers in the league. 8 more goals than United, 4 more than Newcastle, 3 more than Liverpool, FIFTEEN more than Chelsea.
Only 7 teams on the other hand have conceded more goals than us.

Steveeeee - it's the defence. It's not about going out and trying to score. We have lots of chances and have scored lots of goals.
It's the fact that in every single game the defence is letting us down.
Lloris, Dire, all of them. Fuck it. All of them. They're a complete liability.

If none of the forward players can trust those behind them, they're going to drop deep.

But we're stuck with them. We've bought a load of duds no one wants to buy.
