Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Loads of Sanctimonious rubbish being spoken by all rival fans clubs to be honest. The vast majority of fans couldn't care less about the "Morals" of their clubs owners if it meant their club was going to improve hugely in the coming year's. Sure we would all prefer squeeky clean owners, but do they really exist? Just look at our very own Joe Lewis, hardly a saint! (and yes I am fully aware betting on the £ Crashing is very different to murder and torture)

We have had people on here trying to liken the Saudi leadership to the Conservative Party, ENIC, the UK government and the US government. Fuck me they are stretching.
Just fucking say I want Spurs to win trophies at any cost and I don't give a fuck who it is that buys us or what they have done.
There are people on here that would accept Hitler buying the club because 'there is no direct evidence he personally killed any jews'.

Absolutely staggering.
Also do City fans still get the joy of winning titles and cups? Knowing it is all just bought? I mean yeah, great we might win the league, the League Cup, shit maybe even the Champs League. but doesn't it become hollow knowing that it's not your club at heart that is achieving all this?

It's a question that I suspect I'll never have the answer to myself, but I honestly don't think after the first couple of years that it would mean anything to me.

Yes mate and this will be known as "Death of the Prem" City and Chavs will be shitting themselves.
TBH mate I think it died when Sky bought it

I loved it and subscribed and remember that hairy fuck Richard Keys introducing it kept creaming himself over the word ‘live’

I just wanted to see more footy other than motd

So would you like to be in the geordies shoes atm?

Iv always said no but unless it happens we will never be able to compete
No.

To the topic question, only so much as in that I don't want to support a club owned by someone who is guilty of murder, oppression, and human rights crimes. I wouldn't want Spurs to be owned by someone like Bernie Madoff, who got rich scamming innocent people. Clearly no to someone like Epstein. I wouldn't be keen on someone like Bezos, whose incredible ego and greed I feel is truly damaging western society. Ditto to Zuckerberg and his ilk.

Not fond of Lewis, but he's rather small time in the end. Chancer that took a big gamble in the casino that is the financial markets and cashed big. Has spent the rest of his life trying to play his bankroll relatively conservatively.

I'd rather we had better owners, definitely. But I'd be off if something like this Saudi takeover ever happened. There's no joy in bought trophies, especially when they're bought by evil shits like that.

And if we hadn’t got an incompetent govt and Chancellor at the time he couldn’t have done it or his mate Soros

I remember the row about it but never saw it as I was in Australia with the Navy at the time

Didn’t the writers claim it was just fiction?

"drama is based on the true story"

"The film was based on numerous interviews by journalist Antony Thomas, who, upon first hearing the story, grew passionately curious about its veracity, soon drawing upon contacts in the Arab world for their insights and opinions. Because of the candid and sometimes critical nature of the interviews, Thomas and ATV executives decided not to make the film as a straight documentary but instead to dramatise it with actors."

No.

Would you accept someone like Abramovich though?

Not having a go but where do you stop?

A drama doc then

Same thing really if it’s based on the truth

What morals?

Joe Lewis is a tax exile.
That doesn't mean he doesn't have morals.

I think as others have said in here there is a sliding scale of morality. I'd put our owner a reasonable distance up that particular league table from where the owners of Man CIty or Newcastle are stationed.

Regardless, if anyone is prepared to turn a blind eye to where the money comes from then more power to them I suppose. If they take joy in buying titles with money earned from a nations stolen natural resources, or from making enslaved workers do their dirty work then good luck. It's not for everyone though.

Dodgong a bit of tax, in my view is easier to stomach. Not that it's right, possibly not strictly legal, I've no idea, but certainly not on the level of publically beheading, privately chopping up or secretely poisoning countrymen in the pursuit of power and money.

I am a ground hopper these days, albeit with only a few teams. I was a Haringey Borough season ticket holder, but walked away over an incident. Would still go to a decent away with them though. I go and watch Enfield, Enfield Town ,Cockfosters .Cheshunt and a number of other localism teams. I love it! Cheap, can take a pint into the game, visit places i would usually.
Can highly recommended it.
Very sorry to hear you felt you had to give up your Haringey season ticket. Their chairman is a very good mate of mine (hope he wasn’t the problem!! he can be a bit of a volatile character!!) I love a day out at Cole’s Park 🎵We’re just a bus stop in Tottenham 🎵and have been to a fair few away games-the away following is fantastic!
I hope time can be a healer and you can return to the Bell End one day…

Which is why they can't sell out they CL home games. It is all meaningless.

That what’s these horrible owners like Abramovich, Abu Dhabi and the the House of Saud have done to our game.

1 for clubs outside the vast money they have denied genuine success and growth, we would have won the league for example but for a financially doped Chelsea.

2 for clubs with money their success is hollow, Chelsea’s CL titles are meaningless, they are bought just like City’s prem titles. Fans of these clubs barley go anymore, the passion is all gone. City are a shell fan wise of what they used to be.

Real success is now a fantasy outside of only the most brilliantly run clubs like Liverpool. We have blown up our own game.

I am walking away from football, have made the decision and I am going to stand by it.

Thought long and hard about it and this post sums up perfectly the reason why I am done with it and the fucking circus it has become.
Good on you. I stopped going this season, sick of the whole thing to be honest. Its revolting. Its been going for years of course but this sort of feels like the final nail in the coffin (as did the super league). If you can invite in wankers like this, the premier league isnt even pretending to be anything other than the moral free, money grabbing slag that it is.

Would you accept someone like Abramovich though?

Not having a go but where do you stop?
Abramovich is a no.

Basically I stop at anyone there is a very high reason to suspect involvement in significant, and violent or otherwise beyond the pale, criminal conduct. Or someone whose business practices are eroding western civilization.

I'd take Kroenke, FWIW. Or FSG. Or the Glazers. Or that bloke that owns Leicester. Hell, I'd take Perez if Madrid ever bounced him and he was looking for a team with a white shirt so he'd feel at home - he'd bankrupt us, but it'd be sensational at least. I'd probably even take the Dildo Bros without a lot of rage, though they'd ruin us I'm sure.

Spent a lot of my life with common crooks and hoods, TBH. I'm comfortable with that variety, morally. The Qataris, Saudis, Abu Dhabi, Abramovich, etc. are cut from a different cloth if you ask me. These are evil people, not bad, evil.
