Might be bollocks but I heard someone say a few years back that Real can't go bankrupt because they have the royal coat of arms on the crest?
The government would have the bail them out.

Are you sure about that? Id say real are best run.

maybe you are right AM used to be a buy cheap sell high club but I’d didn't realise how much their new stadium put them in debt. Still amazing competing with RM and Barca without the huge fan base/revenue and currently top in Spain.

Barca have just killed themselves with wages, they need to sell big time, Messi will be interesting to watch.

Atletico Madrid much better run than either Barca or Real. The way Real and Barca blow money is like a drunken sailor.
Atletico was nearly bankrupted not long ago. Then Atletico got better after all the bail out, but their dealings have been also shady. Falcao loan, Carrasco Gaitan sale to Chinese club for decent money. Recently Morata. They have some sort of connection to Chavski since Peter Kenyon became a director or advisor of some sort.

I don't feel they're a cleanly well run club. Just innocent until proven guilty.

Couldn’t give 2 fucks about either them or Real tbf. Ruined world football in the last decade
Real Madrid and Barcelona lifted the level of football to the never seen before. The biggest show on earth. The match with more world audience of any sport every year. Specially Barcelona with Messi playing extra terrestrial level and Real Madrid winning 4 titles in a row again.

You may hate as you like but as a football fan you should only be thankful to the Spaniards for what they did for the game. Nobody has ever played better and achieved higher than them. And this is the game that the entire planet loves.

Real Madrid is the club with more fans in the world. You like it or not. By far. This means more income through them paying to watch the games around the world.

In its 120 years of existence the club has been a role model of excellence in correctness, and has certainly always been far from any political implication.

You surely know and omit to mention that Barcelona awarded dictator Franco three times with different gold honour medals. Barcelona is a club with no honour of tradition or respect or values. They are just sold to the political powers.

Real Madrid is the club of all Spain, the pride of the Spanish working class. Atlético was first called Atlético de Aviación, it was founded by the air force pilots, who fought by the side of Franco in the civil war 1936-39. Real Madrid was taken for anti fascist instead, as it was the club of the working classes who were at those times of the 30s dominated by communists and the USSR.

You speak out of hatred, not of reality.

If Real Madrid had a 1% of the dirty history of Barcelona we wouldn't support it for a second, this is a hobby, not politics. You seem to support mafias and crooks and gangsters and people who use sports for dirty business and political propaganda to spread war and death. You are not into sports you are one of

Lol.... What a load of bullshit

Never mention Barca... Got no love for them.

I said "huge swathes of the footballing world hate Real Madrid."

This is a fact. :)

When I did the tour of the Nou Camp back in 2006, I thought it was a beautiful stadium, the best I had seen up to then. Then when we played them a few years ago in the CL, I sat up in the gods, behind the goal (not behind the glass where our supporters were penned in) and thought it was horrible, just concrete and uncomfortable seats, terrible toilets and awful food.
I have preferred Barca over RM in the past, but now I think they're as bad as each other.
This with bells on. They are two sides of a really weird coin.

Who will follow the Liga with a poor Madrid , Barça ruined and without Messi soon .
Simone will be ready to win the next 5-6 Liga :mourlmao:.

I can see this ending up in a much worse situation where when faced with going out of existence or abandoning their membership ownership structure Barca are left with no choice - and in swoop someone like the Saudi Royal family

Which gets you back to gross incompetence. If no one else in the world could get close to affording his wages...then why did they give him such a wage which could and would sink their club? Could have paid him half of what they did and no one else in the world could afford it, still.

They let Messi be bigger than the club, and now they should have to pay for it but we all know they won't have to.
It's a massive wage but IMO his contract is not the issue, he's simply the best player on the planet and has been for almost 2 decades. Basically, he's been worth it IMO.

Messi has enabled them to win CL's and get above Madrid in the bragging rights, which meant the El Classico brand went ballistic globally seeing Barca the main beneficiaries with international markets lapping up brand Messi and brand Barca.

The gross incompetence, however, can be aimed at practically every other transfer they've conducted the transfer fees they have paid, salaries each come with and the lack of revenue they've generated through player sales. This element is where I see the incompetence and miss-management.
