He played very well. And was close of scoring

Will be interesting to see how he progress in that LCB position. Clearly his match ready reactions aren’t quite there but he hasn’t played competitive games in forever. Was late into some tackles. You can see why Conte has him there because the left foot can get the ball up the field quicker and it also opens up the field as he doesn’t have his back to it. Just checked there and he’s still only 28. This position could suit him greatly but one game at a time
Congratulations to Daddy Davies.
Conte has had the relative 'luxury' of having been given most of the squad to work with at Spurs Lodge for 10 days straight, basically 'cos only half the team have been picked for Internationals.... A legacy that we can thank Nuno & Jose for later....
But of those that have been playing for their countries, they ALL seem to be putting a shift in... Kane played a blinder last night, Davies scores his first goal for Wales, Romero & Lo Celso (by all accounts) played well for Argentina, as did Son for S.Korea...
...and it's all 'cos they (and we) know that CONTE'S WATCHING!!!
they're playing for the new manager, even when they're on International duty!!
Robbed some might say tbhDon’t forget Doherty for Ireland against Portugal on Thursday night, he had Ronaldo in his pocket for the whole game and was very unlucky not to have been allowed the winning goal at the end
I think 'doing what you're told' is Key to CONTE'S management style...Cheers for posting, I hadn’t seen that.
Whilst he has his limitations, he’s a good pro and does what he’s told. He could do with cheering the fuck up a bit though!
