Yep he had the Barca squad, the Bayern squad and last year the billionaire City team which should have won based on quality/resource but didn't.
For my money Allardyce the knob did a far better job with Palace than Pep did with City. If Pep really wants to prove himself he needs to manage the team without the biggest resources in the respective leagues or in Barca's case with likes of Xavi and Messi.
If you gave City and £500 million to Pardew even he'd be expected to put up a title challenge and play good football.
Financial fair play doesn't exist, Man City is effectively owned and resourced by a foreign government.

Just makes a mockery of FFP. City can not even fill their own stadium on most match days and are laughed at for their lack of support at away matches

Yeah, but most people knew it at the time. With all the corruption in football there was no way the money was being shut out. The very idea of it was as farcical as Trump pushing climate change at the G7.
Don't forget the wages, the inflated sponsorship money from their state owned companies and the money spent on the training and academy centre.
Don't know how it was allowed by FFP to go from a mediocre shirt sponsorship by Thomas cook to the record deal with eithad in the time it took for the Thai to leave and them to take over.
On what grounds did they command that amount?
Always seemed a less than credible figure when you consider the bigger picture.
As I suspected all along City would be prepared to splash much more on the right ,in vogue name, so we'd be massively undercutting ourselves at that price...
Looking forward to City spending untold millions and still being far less than the sum of their parts next season.
