Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ethiopian Carlton Banks has wanted him out for ages so his reaction is no surprise, gonna see Chelsea fans' energy when they appoint their next coach because they've hid behind the excuse of Poch being former Spurs for a while hence why they never took to him so we'll see how they are towards the next manager when he goes through a bad run.
Actually 85% wanted him to stay on their forum!

Bar the last few games, that season was a total catastrophe.
Poch had Chavs 4th in the form table since Christmas - Lost 1 match in last 15.

He turned the disaster of a squad around after an understandably slow start. Took Boehley’s overpriced inexperienced signings from 12th last campaign to 6th this season. All while suffering the most injuries in the league. Frankly brilliant work by Poch.

I was terrified Poch would have Chelsea firing next season. But Boehley to the rescue! 5th manager in less than 2 years. They’re insane. Buying young players that need stability to develop but then creating chaos - and now looking at managers from the Championship. 🤣🤣. Long may Clearlake’s reign at Blue Scum continue!

Ben Jacobs only source is that at Chelsea so I expect this is their side of the story. As I said, the Clearlake guys are running the show. They’ve no idea how to run a football club so there will be loads more of this kind of management going forward. The only way they’ll find the right blend of success will be luck or trial and error.

Eghbali has played a blinder though. Look through this thread and see how many people think it’s Boehly making the decisions. When in fact it’s the Clearlake parts of the leadership team and the spurs fan.

Its mental - they bought in a set piece coach over Poch's head...what's the point of having a coach if they think they can run the team themselves, they're clueless.

They just want a yes man coach, not a manager. The English game doesn’t bring managers up like that, they always have a say in transfers etc.

Sure, in theory it could work, but as soon as that new coach sits down and meets the other managers in the division and finds out other clubs don’t behave like that and managers get a say in who they are signing, the Chelsea guy will be questioning things inside the club. The approach they are taking just won’t work and is doomed to failure. It’s great.

To be fair, Poch was the ultimate yes man. An absolute cuck to Levy throughout his time at Spurs.

Not really sure Chelsea know exactly what they want anymore. They're not made for project managers. They're a get a winner in, give him what he needs for a year or two to win something, move him on. Rinse repeat.

All managers are yes man to a certain extent but I think the coach needs to have some say in what type of player he needs and then the recruitment and data team look at the available players who suit that role on the market.

It sounds to me that Chelses are just buying up players for the sake of it because they are young have potential and want a coach to just coach them up to improve them regardless of whether they fit in his system or not, it's a ridiculous strategy, you're setting up a coach to fail doing that.

100% - Shows you how mad the Chavs ownership must be if Poch put up with Levy for years but wanted out of Blue Scum after one season

Poch did so much better turning that mess around than Angelos did at Spurs. Just because of the obvious direction of their trajectory proves they were improving, not regressing. I had no doubt they'd have been miles ahead of us next season if they stuck with him.
