Not to mention when it apparently isn't even his "death day". According to Wikipedia he died on February 24 unless I am looking up a different Bobby Moore that played for them.

The Premier League will bottle a points deduction for a couple of reasons; firstly if they get relegated and appeal the league is a shambles, what if they win the appeal? Does someone else go down instead? What if the appeal takes months or years to go through? Also, the Premier League wouldn't want to be taken to court by one of it's own clubs, it's likely they would lose and then any threat of sanctions in the future would be pointless.
 
Oh I can't wait to see this shit on MotD...I'm bloody exhausted so hope it's first up, but it's worth another double espresso and stapling of the eyelids to see unfold in all its gruesome, glorious beauty...

Yes but they celebrated the anniversary away at Liverpool on the 24th. They all had t shirts given etc.
They had a home game on Feb 10.
14 days before,
Why not have it in Feb , on the 10th and then celebrate the closest to the day away, like they did.
Yet they have it in March 10 14 days after his anniversary and their remembrance at Anfield.
