Player Conor Gallagher

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He’s a basic player. Always was. You don’t pay someone like that 200k a week. Everything Lange does is wrong. only thing he’s got right probably Bergvall. Lookmwn offered to us. Would have made a difference in the final third decided this would make more sense

So far he's been exactly as I expected - I watched him at Athletico...

Season 5 Idk GIF by Paramount+

He's been even worse than most expected and expectations were low.

We haven't even seen him being physically dominant yet and thats his one ability.
the midfield balance was wrong today, pal and gallagher are more dog type midfielders, bissouma is fairly similar but has a little bit about him on the ball, none of them are going to produce real quality on the ball or set the rhythm and really dictate the play....them players are massive in football and we dont have one.

with one, all of them will look a lot better as it will balance out.

Gallagher would be an unbelievably braindead signing.

He would've made some sense going into Ange's second season as we needed legs and some proven PL talent, but we've since bought 2 players in Gray and Bergvall who are also best playing as 8s and have similar strengths (ball carrying, defensive busybodies) and weaknesses (progressive passing). And if the idea is to play him as a 10 why the hell did we spend so much on Xavi?

All Gallagher would do is clog up the squad and make it even harder to develop the kids we spent loads of money on, while still not solving the fundamental issues we have (lack of passing/technical ability).

If this is the type of guy Frank wants then I completely agree with everyone saying 'don't back him in the market' as it's a signing that will come back to bite us once Frank inevitably gets binned off within the next 5 months.
Posted this when we were first linked to him ☝️

Tried to talk myself into it in the vain hope he'd provide leadership and goalthreat but alas, no, turns out that randos on TFC really do know better than the clowns that actually get paid shitloads to do the recruitment and sign off 200k p/w deals.

Really should've just got Hayden Hackney or anyone that can actually pass a bloody football. Would be on 1/3 of the wages too.

He has not had much impact here so far. I think it is fair to say that.

But is anyone surprised in it? I mean we are a team that has played without midfield, just hoofing the ball upfield from defence from round 1 of the season.

We DESPERATELY needed a deep-lying playmaker. A CM who is COMFORTABLE IN POSSESSION and whose biggest strength would be LONG AND SHORT PASSING. And ... instead... we got like 5th #8 who likes to run and press.

Unfair to just shit on him. As with 90+% of things full blame has to be pointed to sporting staff and boardroom. Once again they fully ignored the REAL need and just took available and opportunistic punt that does nothing to help the team balance. Just another prime example how to destroy value with poor planning and incompetent leadership.
