I hear what you’re saying, but there’s a reason they call it match fitness and he was riding the bench at Atletico for most of the season so hasn’t had many minutes.Fuck sake hes getting paid 200k i would kill myself on the pitch for that money. Hes shit end of
He's been even worse than most expected and expectations were low.
We haven't even seen him being physically dominant yet and thats his one ability.
the midfield balance was wrong today, pal and gallagher are more dog type midfielders, bissouma is fairly similar but has a little bit about him on the ball, none of them are going to produce real quality on the ball or set the rhythm and really dictate the play....them players are massive in football and we dont have one. He's been even worse than most expected and expectations were low.

How could he not be match fit? He trained, not like he didn't get a sniff either.I wonder if he’s not match fit from lack of game time this season because we’re not seeing the engine he was reknowned for.
He was also bloody great for Charlton too BUT it's because he's not that player anymore - I employ you to watch a handful of his games for Atletico Madrid - pretty much the same shit we're getting now...He has not grabbed a hold of the game here the way he did all the time at Palace and Chelsea. Not sure what the deal is.
Posted this when we were first linked to himGallagher would be an unbelievably braindead signing.
He would've made some sense going into Ange's second season as we needed legs and some proven PL talent, but we've since bought 2 players in Gray and Bergvall who are also best playing as 8s and have similar strengths (ball carrying, defensive busybodies) and weaknesses (progressive passing). And if the idea is to play him as a 10 why the hell did we spend so much on Xavi?
All Gallagher would do is clog up the squad and make it even harder to develop the kids we spent loads of money on, while still not solving the fundamental issues we have (lack of passing/technical ability).
If this is the type of guy Frank wants then I completely agree with everyone saying 'don't back him in the market' as it's a signing that will come back to bite us once Frank inevitably gets binned off within the next 5 months.
I agree. I maintain he can come good. Very good. Been shite so far though, yes
Things might be grim right now, but thank God we signed this warrior, this leader of men, to steady the ship. He's been a revelation.

I don't even think he would be. He'd get bullied down there
