Footballers need to play less games not more. The Nations League needs to be axed and Internationals reduced. Club football also needs to be cut back. It is time we recognise the athleticism in football is at an all time high and players will only struggle more if we continue to run them into the ground.
I don't disagree, but I prefer to allow for deeper benches and more substitutions honestly. You can give teams 5 subs instead of 3, but still only give them 3 opportunities to make their 5 subs.

Bunch of entitled cunts always insist on "I need CL before I'll transfer there", Romero is up for the challenge to grow with the club, and help us get CL.

I have no doubt he will keep growing as we grow, hopefully to winning a trophy or two.
I've never understood that mentality. Don't most players sign 3-4 year contracts? CL football is only guaranteed for 1 year.

A player could be injured, miss the entire group stage, get knocked out, and never make it back in for the term of their contract.

Sign with a team because you buy into the club, the manager, etc., "requiring" 1 year of CL football seems so short-sighted.

It is three injuries now but a large part of that is the fact he had no preseason because of being injured in the copa america semi and then playing the final. The problem is footballers are playing too many games at the moment and the intensity in those games is only going up. Romero will be back next season with a full preseason.

The real problem for Spurs is that some corrupt arseholes arranged a world cup in Qatar in November when most players have just played a year and a half with no breaks.

Ooorrrrr....

We run players into the ground so only the super-big clubs can survive, creating a de facto European Super League where only the biggest, best squads stay afloat. This would obviously need all the smaller clubs to get more games, too, so we'd need to cull the also-rans with a 2nd Europa leag.... oh.

Romero is the real deal. I'm convinced he's one of those rare breeds who could play anywhere on the pitch and do a good job
I love him. He's will be the kind of player that you still applaud off the pitch once he's received a red card. I genuinely mean that too. (Players of the mould were Veirra, Keane, Ferguson, Vidic, Gerrard & Terry,

Their presence on the pitch, set's the tone, and the challenges he wins get the crowd up (the team up). The reds he will inevitable still knock up each season may cost a game here or there but over a season he's a + not in any way a -. (he's obviously a baller too which helps the entire balance to the team, how we use him as a creative springboard out from the back).

Jamie Carragher, former column of Liverpool and England, wanted to crown the defender Cristian Romero, former of Atalanta, Genoa and Juventus, judging him as the best signing of the season in the entire Premier League. The Argentinian born in 1998 in his first season with Tottenham made 30 appearances and was decisive in bringing the London club back to the Champions League.
