The now banished Sammyspurs called this 2 or 3 years ago, and whilst he wasn't right on everything he was bang on the money here.

I just find it gutwrenching because this bloke had it all in football terms. He was absolutely the creme de la creme, and now ignominy.

From a human point I just hope someone is around him when he realises that he has become a nobody.

Gutted for him really.

That crazy over-the-head flick and the volley at Palace. I think I ended up 20 rows down. A minute later he nutmegged a defender while facing the wrong way and hit the bar in the one on one with the keeper.

It was also his flick that put Lucas through for the winner v Ajax.

More recently that outside-of-the-boot-half-volley to chip the keeper at the goons in the LC. That crazy pass to set up the first goal in Mourinho's 1st game.

Did he fall into the wrong crowd or something? The guy's talent was off the scale for someone that young.

Besiktas are my Turkish team. I so hope that he can get his career back on track.

Everton may accept a bid from Besiktas but if I'm Dele then no chance am I agreeing. It's just a couple levels up from Major League Soccer.
I'd rather try and get a move to Germany, France, Even Rangers could possibly work out for him and keep him in the light. Hell i'd rather go back to MK Dons and rebuild in League one.

he still has 2 years on his Everton deal, he could just sit it out if all he cared for was money and tik tok

Mourinho knew. Those bits of the Amazon documentary said a lot about Dele but not enough. Something obviously wasn’t going right back then. I suspect it will come out eventually.

I believe that Dele wants to play and sadly he gets just as few minutes at Everton as he did here. Maybe even fewer, due to the appearance clause in his transfer deal.

If it’s Besiktas or nothing then I expect him to take it. It’s clear that a serious European league is not the right level for him, I doubt any clubs in Europe are interested in him. It’s almost 4 years since his last consistent period of form.

i think he could do a job in Scotland, France, or the Championship if he just wants to play football at a decent level.
Everton are a weird one, they have a hopeless coach who has no business being a premier league coach and is coasting on his name, and a hopeless bunch of players with zero tactical guidance because of said hopeless coach.
For a player terribly out of form, and lack of match sharpness it is very unhelpful environment. Obviously of course Dele has to shoulder alot of the blame also for whatever it is that stops him getting minutes.
Just think Turkey is a footballing death sentence and he can do better

Guys, it didn't exactly take a genius footballing mind to see that Dele's career was hitting the skids a few years ago. FFS, almost every single one of us could see it. Dele's last quality season was 17-18.
