I've always thought that Dele's career started to decline the moment Poch moved him up the pitch to act as a second striker. His all-around game started to decline precipitously after that, as he was more focused on just timing his late runs into the box to strike at loose balls and knock-downs from Kane.

It could also be that Dembele's stature has only grown immensely in the years following his exit, and he really just made everyone around him look a lot better than they actually were.
 
Not sure if anyone recalls. We had a youth prospect called Dele Alli.

Rebranded to Dele and went to shit, just like Gaps logo change. Some folks are so reckless.

Anyway, who is this fool @ Everton ? Dele’s brother ?
 
So did we just give him away to Everton?
It looks like they can’t afford him and won’t play him because they have to pay us,
Perhaps he needed to go a club who would have gave him 90 minutes every week to get him back up to speed.
Looks like he made a bad situation worse by going to Everton.

I'm not talking about people he's fallen out with on a personal level. So I'm not talking about saying Hazard has no fight in him (Even though that's probably been proven anyway) or the famous Casillas fall out. But players who's character he's questioned and where fans of the clubs have either disagreed with Mourinho or backed the player.

Dele, Pogba, Shaw, Ndombele, Mata, Martial and Rose

All off the top of my head.

None of those were difficult calls. At least all of those players had started a decline or showed problems.

And it’s not mourinho’s job to question them, it’s his job to make them better. All those players got worse during his time.
