If attitude is his problem, it's likely due in part to a gaggle of hangers on telling him he's great already. Hopefully that won't be an issue in Italy and the penny will drop.

Intresting to hear he is polite and reserved. I was told he was classic gen Z. They are almost to a person on the spectrum, struggle with eye contact can't make small talk and have been killed by their phones. Not sure he's the Billy big boots some think. Was told he's another for whom time keeping is an abstract concept.
This is nearly always written off as a minor infraction (or cultural difference).

I happen to think bad timekeeping is disrespectful and I’ve seen people fired for less.
As I think Dragusin is about to prove, attitude, character and dedication play a MASSIVE part in whether you make it to the very top as a footballer or not...
There's no doubting Spence has ability, but if his attitude stinks, then there's really no point!
We've had a few come through like that... I SEEM to remember Marcus Edwards' attitude was supposed to be suspect, even though there was no question about his undoubted talent... Seems he may have got that side of things sorted.
Adel Tarrabt was another... more than one ex-teammate has mentioned he was probably the most gifted kid they'd played with, but summit was clearly wrong with his application, commitment, attitude, or a combo of all three saw him sink through the ranks, and the leagues... Real shame!
To be fair, even Gazza once said he was as happy playing for Wallsend Boys club, or his local pub team as he was playing Professional football...
I just guess that in his unique case, HIS level of ability was the one that superceded ANY question marks about his application.
He lived, breathed and dedicated his life to football... But also to the bottle! Sadly, no one could tell the difference for years!
