Look at Dier- we all agreed he was shit but it turns out he was just in the wrong system. It’s not as simple as just declaring individuals to be shit and having a vote on it.

Kulu was crap last year and has been crap this year. Two whole years of crap vs being good for a matter of months. Before he came here he was crap, that’s how he ended up here in the first place.
I’m gonna lay the blame for being crap at the foot of the player who has played crap. At least other forwards have looked bad but produced numbers. This bumbling sloth has produced nothing but frustration all season long.

i heard he played well against madrid. problem is i watched the game. he tried two long balls that went off the pitch as usual and other than that played easy passes (which is fine). didnt get tested once because madrid were poor and had a shit midfield. he did not play well! he just wasnt exposed. hell be tore apart in the return leg, especially if they start modric.
i think people just say someone whos shit has played well if they watch the highlights and dont see something hideous from them.
this whole "dier is playing well at bayern" is just another way of them trying to embarrass spurs. hes a poor player in any system you can think, because hes a poor player.
kulu is not eric dier, there is a player in there. but he has been a frustrating watch for some time now so something needs to happen with him.
kulu probably the wide forward that fits the system the most in terms of playing against a side sitting deep. he does need to start beating his defender to his left tho and actually putting the ball in with his right foot because the cut back onto his left has been blocked, and it easy to do if he doesnt have extra tools to his game, its all they have to worry about.
might be worth actually trying him on the left. that way he can actually put a proper traditional cross in and maybe even hit the byline sometimes. we need wingers that are going to give the 9 service, none of them are good enough to put up salah numbers so they need to start providing chances.

To be honest I'm really not fussed about him. He has good games and he also has some good qualities - strong, works hard, decent in the air, team player. But he is soooo slow and very one footed and as a winger very easy to read, he doesn't make full backs work hard. I'm not really sure he's a no 10 either. His streaks of being largely ineffectual are almost as long as the ones where he looks useful. I say potentially as a squad player but we need to upgrade if we are serious about challenging.

Terrible argument...his TM 'value' is 55M Euro currently and I'm sure there are a few teams (Napoli can't afford that but they've been suggested...makeweight?) whose impression of him is similar to many gaslighting holdouts on this forum. Move him now before his value drops precipitously to what his actual on the field worth is. Re-invest in an actual player.
Beyond that, most of this started before he even was signed on loan because it was known he was shit...and then before he was signed permanently only last summer because he had demonstrated for 18 months that he was shit...which was effectively signing someone for a squad role which is completely stupid and counter-productive in general but very bad in this instance because the guys has nothing in his skillset to impose on a game.
I think we go overboard with some players, which may or may not be understandable.
I also think that in the main we have a lfair share of more than decent players, if not necessarily the right type of mix. That in fact is clearly the case
The single most importanr thing for me is the team. Nothing else.
The way the team does its best is if players perform consistently close to their optimum levels.
Why so many of our players, not just this season but pretty much since traitor boy a few years ago, fail to do just that is the mystery that I had hoped Postecoglou had solved.
So the question on Kulusevski could apply to nearly all our players, which is the real problem.
