I don't think Solskjaer is going to help us!

I've been confident all tournament that we would beat Italy if we played them. I've always thought that pace up front could beat them and we have that in abundance. But the closer it gets, the more I'm thinking they'll just have a little too much know how and savvy for us. We're still a young team and we'll be better in a few years time than we are now without a shadow of a doubt , just as long as we don't have someone useless in charge.

I'm bottling it, basically. Might watch Steptoe & Son instead.
I was confident on Thursday...... Waned a bit on Friday...... Started getting nervous on Saturday and now am completely bricking it.

As a Spurs and England fan, I've been conditioned to expect the worst.

On Wednesday I was convinced we were going out at 1 nil.... I was still convinced at 2-1.....and when the ref blew the whistle at the end I just sat there confused that someone must have made a mistake..

Need a massive game from Mason Mount tonight. He has been tidy but nothing more than that during the games he has played. Has a goal in him and tonight would be the perfect time to smash one in.

Anyone fancy joining GMspurs, myself, and the rest of the ultra bottlers?

Here’s a nice welcoming semi nude picture (no nips or body parts on display) to give you English fans some pre match cheer 👍🏾

Just about NSFW but not exactly pornographic either so using spoilers just in case

So if Trippier is in and Saka out then sounds like a 3-5-2 rather than a 3-4-3, well the former when defending and the latter when attacking.

I can understand why Southgate would pick a team like this but it is dangerous. You let Italy dictate then it could be a long night. We have some great options on the bench but Italy's isn't too bad either.

Might be an obvious statement but the game might be won by who gets their wingbacks involved the most.

Definitely nervous but the worst I felt was the day before the CL Final, I made several trips to the toilet that day!

343 would mean we could get Saka running at them....... But who'd you drop out of Rice/Philips or Mount as one would have to make way.

If Shaw and Trippier get forward like I know we can then the formation won't be a problem. Italy can have the ball as long as it's not in dangerous areas. I think we'll look to close down Jorginho especially and nick the ball from him, and that sets us away for a counter against their slow backline.

At the end of the day we were far from attacking against lesser sides like Ukraine and Scotland, so we were never going to start this evening. Trippier is excellent at dead-balls and that might play a big role tonight too. They have two excellent centre-backs that are good in the air but we definitely have a height and physical advantage.

What's really giving me the nervousness is Italy winning a free kick around the box within shooting distance....... Pickford looked shot to pieces for periods of Wednesdays game.
