Trippier is woeful at left-back. Surely someone like Matty Targett would be a better choice just because it's his natural position?
Not really. Target is lucky to be in the PL, if he was right footed he would be in the national league

Enjoyable half to watch.

Thought most England players played well with the exception of Tripps (literally every single thing Italy have done has come down his side. He can't cross with his left so has offered zero in attack). Sterling is still not on it.

Quite enjoyed Ward-Prose, everytime he's taken the ball he's moved it forward and in one or two touches.

Both teams should have scored, we need a bit more composure on the ball, Mount getting his shots off but straight down the throat of the 'keeper.
 
Don't think it was a bad first half. Both team had chances. Italy look better when on the ball but that's to be expected. Ward-Prowse shouldn't be on the same pitch as Mount, it's one or the other.
