You gonna give up your ST?
My heart doesn’t want to but I hardly use it now and my last visit to NWHL I left at HT because I just hated the whole experience. Treated like consumer cattle from the moment you arrive at the station. The occasional away game still gives a hint of the camaraderie and togetherness of years now long gone. But I’m watching lower and non league now on a regular basis, and enjoying that far more than my proper team. It’s just a very weird and quite sad place to be in. Modern football doesn’t have to be like this. Look at Germany. But the PL has decided to sell itself to the global asset grabbers and what we have now is plastic, materialistic, soulless guff.

The people still catching them bullets are just stuck because they dug themselves into such an extent their egos can now not simply accept the magnitude of their error...we have seen this before but we are not allowed to mention it here.
It’s a tricky one - I despise Levy and how he’s tarnished the glory of our name and tempered ambition, but even I can admit his financial acumen has been good for the club, and even football wise he’s not been a disaster by any means. Certain pro Levy posters are unable to acknowledge the failings and agree a middle ground, hence the idiotic contrary diatribe. Enough’s enough now, even Levys own family must be advising him to call it a day

On the other hand, we shouldn’t ignore the joy and greatness of the non league pyramid -
I don’t know think any other country has anywhere near the levels of support that we do beyond the top few divisions

I’m going to assume that our tiny little Count Dracula is still a consistent presence in the club training centre, most days rocking up and giving the lads his stories of how his (millionaire) family were so impoverished that his place at Cambridge was really in doubt only for Danny Boy to turn it all around. Inspiring stuff indeed. I am thankful he shared that with the world.

To be slightly more serious, the combination of Lange, Munn and Levy being your senior leadership is desperate.

That post defeats its one of these three that pick up the motivation along with Thick Dundee does not seem to be very credible in an elite football environment.

Looking back at the Amazon puff piece will probably do the best job ever of highlighting what Levy is like, Haunting the place and sucking the life out of everyone. The others. Well…Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday they certainly are not.
He is more Al Pacino in Scent Of A Woman , blind as a bat. If ever there was a man who needs an eyesight test so he can get to see his own failings it’s our wee Danny

HooHah

Someone else has voted "Levy IN" overnight

Great points ...

It's like Oysters....
Once the staple of the working class, then the rich swoop in and start charging a fortune for them!!

Just SHUCK OFF with your Global sanitised TV audience!

Just in the Ange thread and the usual convo taking place. With the fixtures we have coming up we are well on track to sack another manager by Christmas.
If he doesn't meltdown like Conte before then... he is bubbling.

Not that I even like or care about Ange, just bored of the usual cycle. And how obllvious our fanbase seem to be when it plays out in the same way every single fucking time.

I don't even have any hope any more. If Levy would just do the honourable thing and fuck off.

Sell up, please..... I'm begging............ you bald cunt

Over the last few pages, i'm seeing a lot of calls for someone to come in with fresh ideas, because things have gone stale. Sign me up!

What kind of thing are we talking here? What do people want to see happening?

And I don't mean "an owner that wants to win stuff", as thats cheating, because every owner does.

Specifically, what new and fresh ideas are we looking for?

New CEO.

Who comes on board with what specific fresh ideas?

I’ve already stated mine.

1. Money to be spent on established players.
2. Full revamp of the scouting setup.
3. Increase spend on the youth setup to allow us to employ top quality management and coaches.

What does your new CEO do differently?

Based on the most complaints I've read on here the last year it would be

1. Grow hair

More focused on softer, cultural changes. Agree with all of those points but big gap for me is that Levy is a wet lettuce and can’t motivate or inspire - clear strategy to succeed that can be filtered through to everyone

Pretty much the same.

I guessed I'd go with:

1. Sign combination of established (good!) and promising youngsters
2. Revamp scouting system
3. Increase spend on youth setup / coaching
4. Hires a manager not a 'head coach' and entrusts them to bring in the players they want. Gives them the budget that will allow them to do that and keeps big beaky nose out of direct football matters.
5. Doesn't try and play ridiculously over-the-top negotiation mind-games with other clubs (I'm not saying don't negotiate - I'm saying don't try and be a daniel levy hard-ass and fuck our relations up with all other clubs).
6. Has the mindset that 'growing the club ON the pitch will help grow the club OFF the pitch' and not the other way around.
