Ex-Spurs Player Eric Dier

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The hypocrisy from some fans really is beyond a joke.

Eric's been a model player, who’s been extremely loyal to the club, which some people feel the need to invalidate by pointing out that he’s not truly word class, and has never been tempted by bigger clubs.

You can’t slag off players for having no concept of loyalty in the modern game, and in the same breath wanting players to leave after a patch of shitty performance.

Honestly have a word and pull your head in.

Model player? do one gooner child

dear oh dear. so all the shitters we cant get rid of are loyal because theyve stuck around stinking the place out for years? no! theyve been here because they full well know they are punching and this is as good as it gets for them. that is not loyalty! if anything the club has been far too loyal to them and should have dropped off long ago!

With us bringing in another CB he probably knows/been told he's 4th choice, maybe even lower after Sanchez's display against Barca
Perhaps the penny has dropped, it's his final year with the club either way

The guys an absolute helmet. This great guy stuff I have never and will never buy into.

Clearly throwing the toys out of the pram because he’s either pissed that he’s been told he’s not in tomorrow’s squad or because he isn’t being made captain.

Get rid.

If this is the end of Dier at Spurs then I wish him the best. No ill will or poking fun from me. Overall I think we got the best he could provide and that’s admirable when you look at players like Tanguy. Unfortunately his best wasn’t anywhere near good enough or what we need going forward.

Im 110% in on a true changing of the guard.

How is he loyal? If he was loyal, he would tell the manager not to play him because he doesnt want to damage the club's chances. He gets on the pitch and plays shit and hurts us. That is the opposite of loyalty. Loyalty doesnt mean staying at the club because no one else wants you.

So if "no-one wants him" then he should just rip up his deal and walk away?

...................That's "loyalty"?

....And if a gaffer opts to play him ahead of a diff. player he should refuse?

...................That's "loyalty"?

(I made no prior reference to him being "loyal"), but that's utter blinkered nonsense.
