What would you have written to describe a player getting a move he probably doesn’t deserve ?
Skill wise that is. I’ve nothing against him as a person, seems like a decent lad.
Why do you think you're fit to judge who "deserves" to play where or win what?

Dier has been a consumate professional at Spurs for basically his entire football career. He's played all over the shop and never complained. He was denied an expensive transfer to United at the peak of his form, never moaned just knuckled down and played. He's been benched by several managers and not gotten the hump, merely got his head down and worked to win his way back in.

He's lost a couple steps and definitely can't cut it in a top level PL squad. But the Bundesliga is a farmers league. He's more than capable of being a rotation option there. And Bayern have always fancied cheap experienced footballers on the back ends of their careers.

This development is mildly surprising to me, but I don't really understand the guffawing. It's not as if he's been recruited to join the Galicticos-era Madrid team or anything. Bayern would struggle to consistently finish top 4 in England.

No way did we turn down mega money for him. That was a rumour. We have made some terrible transfer decisions and that would have been the worst if it was true.
Farmers league or not Bayern probably average quarter finals of champions league over last 15 seasons and dier is not that level.

Dier deserves a lot more respect than he is given. That does not equate to him playing or staying. But he’s never once given less than his ability allowed. He never made excuses and at times served his club and country with huge integrity.

Should he move to Bayern. Good wishes and good fortune to the lad in the games ahead.

Sums my thought up perfectly about him. Thanks for everything Eric.

Between the Budesliga, the German cup, and, yes going to the CL quarters or better, most years they'll play around 50 matches. Not everyone in the squad plays every match, they're not likely running Dier out in a CL semi.

The reason they do so well in the CL is their league is so shit they can rotate heavily in the league and cup consistently.

Do you think they'd like Ndombele too? We could give them a 2 for 1 deal.

Send a minibus over on the ferry. Dier, Sess, Reguilon, Spence and Ndombele. They'll need a minibus for all the snacks.

I wasn't sure about Ange at first. I didn't think he was big enough in stature to come to a club like Spurs and push all the shit out. I was fearful he was a little too grateful for the job and to work with, and I quote Levy "a talented squad"
But nope. He's come in and done exactly what should have started in 2019 and pushed all these turds out.
If this isnt the condemnation that the last few Dier fanbois needed to finally see he simply isn't very good, then they should probably start watching Darts or something less nuanced.

"Fuck this, I'm going home"

It's entirely believable
