Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They are just doing what the manager wants of them. Ramos vs Redknapp, AVB vs Poch, Nuno vs Conte. Managers are dramatic in how they shape teams, we see that at Spurs.

This team reflects the management, this team is the image of the manager. Everything goes back to one issue.

Maybe but Foden was doing things that aren't anything to do with the coach. Some absolutely terrible lazy passes .. thought he grew in to it very slightly towards the end.

We didn't look after the ball well enough though. Huge issue for England sides since forever, the panic sets in and players look to preserve. Maybe down to Southgate. Our ability to win fouls towards the end was key though.

I know, I know.

But we’ve seen this so many times. This promise of better football to come. And it never materialises.

They got roughed up tonight.

Roughed up but we got over the line and showed character. A sign of a good team has always been winning when you're nowhere near your best. That shouldn't not apply just because it's England.

A leftie to play left back would've helped.

Trent ain't a CM and it's showing now how overrated he's been since coming through the ranks at Dippers FC. Just because you can ping balls in & score the odd worldie don't make you a world class player.

Foden too anonymous...night & day between ENG & City versions of the kid.

Soon as you put a defender on Saka who ain't afraid of the ugly little cunt, he ain't doing shit.

Kane was poor but had just the one good ball all game.

We don’t look after the ball because we don’t train to. Got Wharton around, don’t use him, use Mainoo late on but ball retention is mostly tactical, you get that right on the training ground. If we had leadership that could train for possession football we have the players to deliver it but we don’t play that way. Get Potter or someone and we will.

Even if England had the Man City or Real squads this is how the game will go each time.
