Let's be fair: it's almost impossible to imagine that Zawyer could remember an event so long ago, let alone harbour any resentment whatsoever towards Bellingham who was merely stating known facts. And even if he did, he is obviously a now-reformed model professional who would never let that undermine his decision or performance during the semi-final in any way.

Absolutely ridiculous that a referee banned for match-fixing should ever be allowed to officiate at this level.
I love a good redemption arc but this is plain stupid.

L’équipe has Rice at 6 and 5.5 for knockout games.
Tchouameni 6 and 6.

L’équipe have been really impressed with how Rice has won the ball back and the stats back that up. Rice has been a monster in the middle doing a lot of the work to allow the others to shine.

Tchouameni’s passing range however has been phenomenal.

You do all realise this is how Southgate and Deschamps want them to play. Rice passing sideways is pure sex for Southgate, it’s Salma Hayek and Margot Robbie all in one. Sitting deep and grinding out results is how they manage. Southgate is just a bit dumber than Deschamps but it’s the same ideas.

It has never been a personnel issue with either England or France.

Don't understand this notion about Rice being awful this tournament. He's not shone but he's done his job for the most part perfectly well. You're not going to see him doing what he does so well for Woolwich as he's in a different position and in a completely different team with a different style. He had one really poor game in the group stages, I can't remember against who, but has been fine otherwise other than not passing the ball quick enough at times. But you could say that about Stones, Trippier, Bellingham, Kane etc. He just gets loads of unfair criticism because of who he plays for.

For the record, Spain should be favourites. They’ve been the best team. Until a team shows they can step up, they will be the favourites against everyone currently.

You have the best tools to beat them imo but their system is quality. I don’t think we would have a chance against Spain so if we got through I’d rather play you.

He's been decent but you're trying to make him out to be something he's not. Watched all of the France games and I don't think I would rate him as anything more than a 7 out of 10 in any of those. He's been doing his job.
 
My favourite France player currently is Camavinga. He is huge for making them hard to score against, just shuts down the midfield, such a smart footballer.

They've been impressive this tournament but it wasn't long ago they were losing to Scotland and Colombia. All three remaining teams would have a chance against them even if not the favourites. On paper it's still the poorest Spanish team for a long time. The key against them is to score first, as they are so dangerous on the counter.

Here’s an interesting take from opta: Euro 2024 Predictions | The Analyst

France are favourites for the whole thing even though Spain are very marginal favourites (50.21%) to win the semifinal. This implies opta thinks that France have a better chance in the final than Spain. No idea how they come up with these but you can see the semifinals are both extremely close!

It’s not the worst, their team for the last few tournaments was worse imo. Right now they have dangerous wingers to go with the possession.

What happened in qualifiers or friendlies is irrelevant for me. This tournament they’ve been the best, most cohesive side. I wouldn’t bet on anyone against them.
