Ah, nothing new in getting excited about potentially good player without not seeing him much. Ffs, don't try to say with a straight face that most here had watched 10+ full games of Ndombele before we brought him.

It's all natural. People watch different amount of other teams matches, but chances are really high that unless this potential player is not from top8 teams in England or not from a major club in Europe or from your "2nd team" you have not seen more than like 3 games by one player.

Anyways, I was reading French section of my local football forum and one of the biggest Ligue 1 specialists (same person who said right away that buying GNK was absolutely pointless move by us) said that Lo Celso was really good for PSG, even though he came in as "no-one" (e.g not established superstar). But we all know that PSG is about flashy names and PR not team spirit and sporting results, right :D

He does have a bit of the Dembele about him, dribbles and deep progressions and all that, lacking a bit in the pressure department but he'll get that drilled into him...

Every time I see someone refer to him as GLC I just see Goldy Looking Chain.

Got to have a “Guns Don’t Kill People, Attackers Do” song for him... Celso’s an Attacker and he might kill you!

I think that also tells a story about the role that Dele has been asked to play in the last 18months... regardless of whether you agree with it.

How many people here have actually watched Lo Celso? Just curious... Want to know what we're actually getting, and I don't trust most of you.

I barely watched him last year - just a couple of games inc the last one against RMadrid, where he was superb and set up two goals with incisive through balls from midfield. He seemed to be operating from midfield that day but I think played a lot as an AM for Betis.

I watched him quite a few times forPSG though, where he was playing more as an 8, and I really liked him there, technically excellent, dynamic, can move with the ball but also has great vision in his passing. I was really surprised PSG let him go for peanuts, especially with their midfield issues.

If we are going to use him as an 8 in a CM3 (or 1+2 diamond) I think he’d be a really good addition.

I have hardly seen him play further forward, so don’t have a solid opinion of him there, but his numbers were very good in Spain so I can’t imag he’d be any less viable than our current bunch of AM’s. And he’s definitely more sure footed than Alli, Lamela, Moura, Son.
