So who in our team are saying is able to do it week in week out, sissoko? Tell you what spurs have always had great skillful players in their teams whether we win or not and ndombele is one but I think JM doesn’t really like him as his not his “type” of player. He wants donkeys playing who just hoof the ball upfield aimlessly like dier and davies and have complete non entity of a footballer like sissoko running our midfield. May be that is where the problem lies?

Never doubted Ndombele's skill level at all.
But please tell me when he has had a run of games that have been good.
Sissoko is the same level as a pub player.
Our midfield bar PEH could all be improved on without breaking the bank.
Ndombele Lo Celso and Sissoko cost well over £100 million between them we would be lucky to get half of that back if we could sell them now.
Who would you sign that improves what we have?

I don't think anyone is suggesting we don't need more bodies in the midfield.

If we'd bought any two of Partey, Bissouma, Anguissa, Kondogbia, Ward-Prowse, Bruno Fernandes or so on, do you think we'd be better or worse off than now with GLC/Ndombele? Our pair cost 100m and could get close to any central midfielder duo on the planet, they should be performing as such, it's the expected standard for top priced players.
I've said I'd take Bissouma and Anguissa at Spurs - but neither are Ndombele replacements. And neither are anywhere near as good as him.
Anguissa - Hojbjerg - Ndombele
Would probably be the best midfield pairing in the league.
But it would only take about 3 weeks before people would moan that Anguissa wasn't scoring or assisting enough I am sure.
Anguissa would cost us upward of £30,000,000.
Sell Ndombele and Sissoko and buy Maddison.
Sell Lo Celso buy Ward Prowse.
Tielemans would also improve our midfield.
We employ scouts whose job is to find the players and in the last 3 years or so a lot of money has been spent on shite
Anguissa has been FAR better than Ndombele for about 18 of the past 24 months though. Ndombele wasn't just not assisting or scoring, people can see with their own eyes when he is doing well and he's not, today he was poor, nothing to do with points scored.
We need to rate players based on their average performances throughout a season as well as availability and how they fit into the system. Ndombele has so far been really inconsistent and he needs to work on it if he wants to make it here long term.
That would be a great midfield though.
Anguissa was great for Villarreal. Agreed. But that's La Liga.
But that doesn't mean he's a better footballer. We can all see. And I've watched Anguissa now for near on 4 years. I recommended him as a potential Wanyama replacement back in 2017 - back when I was saying we should sign Ndombele as a Dembele replacement in fact.
I think as a #10 - he should be providing #10 numbers. He isn't. But that's because he isn't a 10.
Lo Celso, who was also excellent in La Liga, just like Anguissa was putting up brilliant numbers in an attacking role for Betis. 16 goals and 6 assists, I believe. He'd near enough equalled Ndombele's 2 years at Lyon in one year at Betis yet it's Lo Celso we decide to play deeper most of the time.... work that one out.
Ndombele is playing within a failed system that's utilising no ones strengths bar Kane, Son and Hojberg really. Funnily enough, our 3 best players this season.
