Don’t think he’ll be “fully” back until the end of March. Even if he resumes training by the end of this month, he still needs a lot of hard work to get back to fitness.
Why?
Why?
Not being a dick for a change, but he doesn’t score, doesn’t assist and we’ve got loads of players like that.
Am I looking at the Modric argument that he offers so much more than just the numbers?
5 goals and 1 assist in 18 games. By the minute I guess those stats are much betterWhy?

This sudden transmogrification of Giovani Lo Soso, into saviour is just straw clutching. Grade A straw clutching. Why?

Nobody really. But he doesn’t seem to be either. One assist in 18 games. As I said, I think it’s 3 in 40 league games. And 1 goal in that time too.5 goals and 1 assist in 18 games. By the minute I guess those stats are much better
He is "involved" in a lot of other goals and provides loads of chances.
The more chances we have the better chance of scoring.
Who else is providing chances?

He could be an answer to having depth in the squad, but I’ve not seen much to suggest he’s the answer to our problems.
Yup, thought that would be it. Did mention the Modric thing earlier myself.I know it's very Woolwich - but he regularly "assists to the assister".
The Modric. I like to call it.
Well hopefully Ndombele, if they play together in midfield one day.Yup, thought that would be it. Did mention the Modric thing earlier myself.
Does give us another problem though. Who does he assist to provide the assist?
He is obviously talented. But injured a lot. And I’m not sure he’s what we need to improve the side right now.Well hopefully Ndombele, if they play together in midfield one day.
He is obviously really talented, how can anyone who watches him play not see that? Shame injuries have rekt him this season.
We need a midfielder who is good with the ball at his feet. Way too much of our play is lumping it forward. He is obviously talented. But injured a lot. And I’m not sure he’s what we need to improve the side right now.
See reply above.

Ndombele?
Kane?
Son?
Of course, it'd be lovely if he popped up with more assists. His assist to Son against Liverpool was lovely (he then got injured the following game and not seen since)
I think now we have Ndombele and Hojbjerg as the midfield 2 - GLC could finally play as #10.
What I like about having GLC in our team is that when he gets the ball, his first instinct is to move the ball forward. Unlike 3/4s of the our attacking options.
GLCCan't help but feel that is a brilliant midfield 3.
Hojbjerg - Ndombele
All do their fair shift defensively, all look to play forward and all offer something different. Kane and Son in front of them and another wide forward capable of scoring and assisting would really raise our chances.
Let’s hope you are both right chaps. He can pass the ball forward with some quality and is not a wimp, that immediately elevates him miles above Winks and Sissoko. We had Lucas playing in the number 10 position against City, the ball bouncing off him from all angles so often that he was hooked at half time.
Gio has a lot to prove but he has quality. That is what the team needs more than anything else. The more quality on the pitch, the more likely you win the game.
