Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't really get this mindset, where is the achievement in going to City and re-winning everything they have already won multipletimes over?

You might as well just bulk buy a bunch of medals on ebay. They could buy Vinicius from Benfica and they'll still win whatever they were going to win next year anyway.

What's even more baffling to me is why the media are so desperate to force moves like this? Do they really want every single decent player at the top one or two clubs? For the English Prem to become just another SPL?

What is so bad about good players being spread across the division?

They may have won stuff time and again, but Kane hasn't. Why does any boxer when they win a title at their weight always want more, so they usually move up (or sometimes down) in weight so they can potentially achieve this? It might not just be to do with winning trophies. He might also want a change of scenery or just to play with better players on top of winning things. Nobody can blame him, and those that are, are just making themselves look like simpletons, imo.

EXACTLY.

I've said it before (last time a paper tried to pimp some more pulp), he's a smart lad, no ones is going to admire his medals for winning yet another trophy for a rich oil club who buy their trophies. Honestly think he's not that stupid or that shallow.

Its worth spending a minute or two looking at the state of finances at Leicester. They are broke, owe significant monies and their losses are frightening and that’s with selling the likes of Chillwell and Maguire

Ther regularly spend over 80% of total income on wages and yes the 19/20 figures were impacted by COVID they ,Leicester, don’t get mega money by way of gate receipts so the 105% of total income spent on wages is not great news

So we can get Rogers and Maddison on the cheap then?

I want him to stay, of course, how could I not?
But I am not bothered too much about him leaving, because I have been expecting this since a few years

The important thing to me , if it happens is that:
- we have a plan with the new manager and he will be available on Monday
- we sell Kane quickly and spend the money quickly on the players that the new manager wants

No matter how bad life gets, it's never totally bad.

Zoe Ball is leaving 'Strictly: It Takes Two' - thank God.

Official.

Another thing to consider is that, if we sell Kane, other clubs are gonna know we've got some cash to burn, and try to fuck us financially on any potential deals.

It's what Levy would do!

You have the same outlook on this as my mate Bob.

Unfortunatly,i don't ...

I can't blame him, he was let down by the board... but I just wish he loved Spurs more than trophies. I know it's sounds like pathetic.

Going to City is just the easy way out.

He will still have to perform at the very highest level for City in order to win things. City are where they are because of money yes but the players still have to turn up and perform week in week out. No team has a free run towards winning titles and City don't win the PL every season, or the FA cup, and certainly not the CL. For all their money they should be winning every competition they enter every year. However they don't, nowhere near doing that, so there is a level of effort and luck required also and it's not just about the money.

The easy way out? Yes at City he puts himself in a better place to win trophies than if he decides to wade through mud trying to get into the top 4 at Spurs.

I was disappointed, but not angry, at Kane wanting to leave.

However, I am seriously pissed off at the timing of this. He could have certainly stopped his representatives leaking this to the media; during a week where we have two crucial games to get Europa League qualification.

Ok but it is conceivable that we're better next season too. New manager, hopefully a couple of new players, with a new style. I reckon we'll match them so Utd is a side step at best.
Yeah, would be nice to see us turn a corner next season! Keeping the hope! But at this moment in time, I think Man U have climbed above us. They could win the Europa very soon and are 2nd in the league. They also look like they're playing better football under Ole. Looks up there a bit like it did under Poch here a few years ago. And if they keep adding, Kane could help make them into a massive force again. To me, I think Kane's best bet in the Prem is Manchester, or to stay with us.

How about how fortunate Kane's been? Never had to do a day's work in his life and a multi millionaire just for playing football, and it was all on his doorstep where he was given this oppurtunity. So many modern footballers have no concept of how privileged they are. They always want more and poor poor Kane hasn't got any winner's medals so he wants to go to the place he's guaranteed them, even if he hardly plays or is just wheeled out by Guardiola for special occasions to play in front of fans for whom he'll just be their latest new toy they'll soon get bored of and villify every bad game and start demanding another new toy instead.

I really thought Kane was more than that, I'm so disappointed in who he's revealed himself to be.
Footballers wanna win stuff right?
He gave it a fucking good shot with us right?
He stayed extra years when maybe he shouldn't have right?
Who are you to say he doesn't deserve the opportunity to out a medal in his neck in a final?
Sure, I'm disappointed that it's not with us but he's given his all for us and it's never quite happened so of course he should have the opportunity to try elsewhere

Also, fuck your shit about multi millionaire this, privileged that: he's one of the most humble, down to earth footballers I've seen and your statement just shows you don't know him at all....if he wanted more money, he would have gone years ago. He wants the trophies and he ain't worried about the pay rise that will probably come with it

You've mugged yourself right off there fella....slagging off one of the most humble and greatest players ever to play for us.

We all understand he may want to consider a move, it's the method he's employing to achieve that which is the issue, leaking info to Sky Sports tossers right before an important game. I still can't believe he's gone down that route. Basically doing what Walker did but Walker wasn't "one of our own."

The smart thing to do is to invest this summer.

National managers are open to offers.
Fill in some gaps in the team.
See if Harry wants to go for real (I seriously doubt it if we get good players and an exciting manager in).

Then, and only then, sell Harry if he still wants to go with the knowledge our business has already been done.

Anything else is just bad planning and there's no way Levy is a that kind of fool.
