Kane is much better than Haaland though in terms of passing. And that's really crucial in a Pep team.
If City get Kane then the PL is basically over for the next 5 years, unless they have a serious injury crisis. The partnership of KDB and Kane would be insane.
It's sad they've been able to buy such a squad that even their B-team would finish top 4. FFP should have stopped them.

He is currently but I have watched a lot of Dortmund this season and Haaland is massively improving his passing game. Combined with his pace and power and ruthless finishing he could easily slot in to City’s team.

Kane is a better deep passer but he is also better than everyone at that. Kane could be City’s best player, Haaland would be too if he continues to improve the way he has and they need a better striker. City don’t need much else they have a complete side, Kane or Haaland would be the icing on the cake for them.

Yeah they've already cruised to the champions league final with a 4-5-0 formation. Imagine if they had someone as clinical as Kane or Haaland upfront. Would literally walk over everyone.

People saying the won't be able to support Spurs if we sell Kane. Fuck me this place has finally gone full Woolwich.

This might be of help to the some of you.

One person in the past 5 pages said something vaguely similar to that.

Yep. Someone ruthless as one of those two and City would be a machine almost like prime Barca or prime Bayern.

Will find it very hard to follow Spurs next season if Harry Kane goes. People can talk shit all they want about how the club moves on. In this instance, no we definitely don’t. This would set us back 10 years and I don’t think we will ever recover from it with the quality of the other top teams. We don’t have the resources or the owners that harbour the ambition to push us forward and selling Harry to a direct rival would be the final nail in the coffin. I believe the Spurs fans relationship with this mob is on a knife edge. The only way this gets resolved is if Spurs go all out this summer and show Harry we mean business. Completely invest in the defence and risk it. Spend money we haven’t done before. Show Harry he needs to stay to win trophies next season. Give us 1 more season, but our board and Levy have to spend and spend big. This is all their fault this mess.
10 years ago we finished 4th in the league, reached the semi finals of the FA Cup, knocked out 3rd Round League Cup and Europa group stage. But disappointing in 2 of the cups but otherwise not a disastrous season...

Unless that's not how your quantifying us regressing 10 years? Is it nnonsensical hyperbole perhaps?

We would probably have about £250 million to spend on a rebuild, the problem is we will fuck up spending it.

That's really what this all comes down to, doesn't it? There is zero belief by anyone that the club will manage this properly. You could make a very good case that it's actually the smarter decision, but we all know that the club will screw it up.

The thing is, if Kane goes now, we may be treated to his swansong in 3 or 4 years time when he has sated his desire for trophies and returns to give us an Indian summer and a few more 20 goal seasons.

If we hold onto him, we end up with a disillusioned player watching his ambitions getting pissed on by a deeply unambitious club.

Lesser of two evils could be good

Did I say different?
Yes. As you know, you implied it was a view being espoused widely on this forum. For example, " Fuck me this place has finally gone full Woolwich". At the very least you meant more than one. For example, you used the language: "People saying the[y] won't be able to support Spurs if we sell Kane. " (I guess this was a typo and you meant "they" hence the [y]).

Mystic Meg.

Ali Gold did say that Son was close to signing a new deal, but that was before this Kane news.

Issue is the structure of our club. We have a ton of deadwood to sell plus this with Kane and son. We could legitimately end up with 250-300m in sales but there is no trust in Levy to get the right manager and players.

If we had a Dortmund style set up with a manager willing to develop and use top youth players under a DoF with a clear long term vision. You could then accept it more as you know a rebuilt team might end up better than the current one. But there is no faith in that.

For me it would not be a case of deciding not to follow Spurs but a total loss of interest in football in its entirety, There's just so much about it that's becoming quite detestable. I barely watch any more non Spurs games as it is.

Kane is gone because Jose is gone. Simple as that no need to sugarcoat it. The club messed up. Your best player believed in the coach and could see he was changing the mentality of the club but y’all fell for the media narrative cuz they wanted Kane gone from you long ago but with the arrival of Mou they had to make you believe he’s finished so you sack him and Kane give up on the club, which is exactly what’s happening now.

You needed patience now I wonder if you’d ever fight for top 4 or regulations but sad days ahead of Spurs.

major disappointment.
You must be American not to understand what is going on. Please go away.
