So the abuse he’s receiving on here and a load of other forums isn’t childish it’s warranted criticism of a poor player

Coached properly? He's had access to some of the best football coaching money can buy since he was a child. And he's still fucking shit.

What fucking miracle of coaching do you expect to transform him into a good footballer? Do you think Pep, Klopp are going to suddenly transform him? There is a reason he's stealing a living here and it's not because the elite coaches of football are queuing up to work with him.

He doesn't deserve anything at this club, he's turned down loan moves and is wasting a place and wages that could be taken up by somebody that has a future here. He doesn't have one so the longer he hangs around stinking the place out with performances like Saturday, the more abuse he will get.

He has shown he can be a good player in the past and can be again. He is plenty good enough for a PL career. If it was left up to fickle fans teams would have a massive turnover of players every five minutes. Including fans who wrote off Kane and even Bale in the early days.

Fan obsession with placing all the ills of Tottenham onto his shoulders is crazy. He doesn't deserve it.

this is meant to be a midfielder whos apparently a passer...a passer with 2 assists and 3 chances in 111 games....11 through balls!! these stats would be just about bearable if he was an absolute monster breaking up play protecting the defence....but hes little harry winks.

He isn't a playmaker and never was. He had Eriksen alongside him for a lot of his career and they complimented each other. A midfield of Winks, PEH and a committed NDombele would have a good mix. And yet it's NDombele who is stealing a living currently.

The last time he put in decent performances was four years ago and he’s regressed since and now it’s like playing with ten men with him starting

But Winks is being given chances whereas Ndombelly hasn’t this season and should have started on Saturday and if Nuno can’t see this then he will be gone by Xmas imv

There's probably a midfielder in the premier league that has those stats in one game never mind 111.
Does he deserve lots of abuse? no. Is he shit? yes
Unfortunately for him and spurs, he's hung around far too long and now everyone is starting to see how crap he is. He's gonna be extra hard to move on

Hes been failing for a long time now. We know his qualities by now. Unfortunately we have a new manager now who will have to take his time to find out how poor winks is. And with 2 terrible performances already in 3 games, hopefully Nuno has seen enough. If he hasnt, we have a bigger problem than winks on our hands. We might have an idiot manager.
