Anyone else getting legitimately worried that we might very well be seeing City destroy the league and turning it into yet another "one team league" before our very eyes? Seems like the media is so enamored with them breaking records left and right that they don't seem to realize that one year is all well and good, but if this happens two or maybe three years in a row that interest will wane at an extraordinary rate. Sure, people will continue to watch, but if the title race is gonna be done and dusted by Christmas it's gonna get pretty old pretty quick.

That being said, maybe it will actually force teams to give a shit about the FA Cup again. Hell, if no one else is winning the league, might as well go all out for the cup.

You mean what's happened in Scotland?

After Man U took over the domination from Liverpool, it did seem like there was no point following the league for a while

To a degree, but United never walked away with the league like THIS.

No one ever has, so it’s interesting to see how long they can keep going.
I don’t see Pep there for that long. 5 years tops.
Don’t expect them to be anywhere near as dominant Liverpool were in the 70s early 80s.

The domination wasn't boring! Maybe the fact football was only mainly in highlight form MOTD ect and the odd live game nowadays nearly every game is on and if not on you see highlights at the click of a button! It gets mundane after a very short while

The overall standard of the PL, rich with wealth, is poor so yes, money has ruined football. The PL for all its wealth should be promoting a very high standard of football which it isn't . The concentration of quality players in just a few teams has caused a gulf from top to bottom which will never been repaired.

Teams are full of overpaid journey men (incl coaches) who are earning a decent wage compared to the quality and commitment they give and the standard they promote. The fact that teams are putting 3, 4,5 or even 6 past teams is ridicules-its Sunday morning stuff. There is no art in defending anymore-some players have no 'football brain'. All the emphasis is attack. The World Cup is always a good marker to see where players are at. English players always struggle, this reflects the PL for me.

You just know, if you put Sterling in any team, he would struggle-cant play football. That goes the other way. Put Lukaku up front got City and would be a world beater or so it would seem,

Phil Neville in ' advanced' talks to become the England women's team manager.

The FA and football are so deluded it's laughable and this appointment has all the hallmarks of ' raising the profile of the women's game' and of course money.

So basically any up and coming female or male coach who has cut their teeth at club level can basically piss off as the FA want someone who was assistant manager at a Spanish club once and turned them into a laughing stock by inept performance and clueless tactics in a matter of weeks.

In fairness, they were apparently trying to lure Herdman, who's done really well with the Canadian women's team, but the Canadian soccer association surprised everyone by suddenly offering him the men's team. I don't know anything about the women's schedule, but maybe there's a pressing issue to find someone all of a sudden...? If not, then you're point definitely still stands.

There’s an argument to suggest that the richest teams have always done better than the poor ones. And there’s always been a gap between the haves and have nots.

It’s just the figures being bandied about are larger than before. But it’s inflation like anything else. Average house prices have gone up by 100 times in about 50 years.

Money isn’t ruining football any more than it always has.

The PL wealth-City have the monopoly? City are the team that have all the Hotels so will collect every time someone lands on them. The rest survive on passing goal but as we know this isn't enough. Poch is a better coach than Pep IMO-Pep and JM are chancers and reply on loaded dice. Every team throw the same set of dice to get around the board just Pep has the comfort of owning most of the properties. The rest of the PL survive on owning the Waterworks or the odd Train station which we all know just isn't enough to compete.

They’ve only won the premier league twice and not for four years. Hardly a monopoly.
