Once again, how is he not a great dribbler?Limited doesn't mean useless. How many times do I have to explain that.
He's not a great dribbler, he's not good with his back to goal, he doesn't score many headers, and he doesn't have particularly great vision. Though he can do those things on occasion.
However, he is elite in pace, off the ball movement, finishing and pretty decent at pressing. He's improved his all around game a lot under Mou, but if you have to define Son, it's as a specialist, not an all rouder.
I really like the fact that it was Ndombele, not Kane that gave him the final pass.I just watch the 2-0 goal against Brentford.
- Son starts his run so early. It's incredible. I'm spoiled and expected him to finish with ease.
- Great work by Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Kane, and Ndombele in getting Son the ball.
- The little run by Reguilon as Hojbjerg works the ball along the boundary, forces the right back to respect his run - that gave Son -just- enough margin to receive the ball continuing directly to the goal.
The real tragedy is when either of them move on or retire (I hope they both end their careers with Spurs) it will be the first time that some people realise just how great they were as a partnership. And how lucky we were to have both of them in this team, at this club, at the same time.
When we won the CL semi, I was dreaming of us inviting Dembele back for the trophy celebrations and giving him one of the medals if we won the final (he did play in some group games). I still think about that sometimes.I just hope both of them are around to earn trophies with us
It seems I've inadvertently started a mini-spat here. Apologies for that, especially to . I'm no stats person, so I didn't realise that Son had such a good rep in this area. I was just going by what I seem to see every time I watch Spurs play. It strikes me that after he has scored, his assisting skills seem to desert him. Do you have any stats specifically for that? I dare say someone does.Assists across all competitions since Son has joined:
Son: 55
Kane: 36
You say Kane's a top 3 passer/creator in the league. If that's so, Son's got to be at least top 5 if not better???
Anyway, you're an idiot.

I think Kane is the better passer, but the fact Son has more assists in less games shows the gap is not as wide as you perceive it to be.
It also shows your adjective of 'limited' to describe Son is clearly unfair.
Good postI love son but Kane’s clearly a better passer. Son has a good cross on him with both feet though he struggles on simple passes from time to time. If you take the most recent Kane cross to son against Leeds, Kane can make that pass far more consistently than son. Son likely gets more opportunities as he is generally in a wider position.
Son has more assists because wingers get more opportunities for assists and Pochs spurs were built for Kane to score. Sons pace gives him many assists as he can blow by a defender and play a simple square pass whereas Kane has much better technique and is a more consistent passer.
It’s a shame you can’t try to have an actual discussion in this thread without fanboys on one side or the other.
He runs well with the ball and has on occasions dribbled past players really well but generally he ends up losing the ball when dribbling ergo he's not a great dribbler.Once again, how is he not a great dribbler?
Is this not exactly what I've been saying the whole time?Son and Kane are world class legends, there is no doubt. Their best attributes and weaknesses seem to perfectly compliment each other, which is why they're such a devastating duo.
Obviously if you could hybrid Kane and Son's strengths you would probably create one of the GOATs, but as we have both healthy right now, that shouldn't be an issue for any Spurs fan.
You are a limited poster.Limited doesn't mean useless. How many times do I have to explain that.

You used the word limited which triggered me. But yeah I don't think there's massive differences in any of our views. Is this not exactly what I've been saying the whole time?
I've also called Kane slow, and selfish in the past, I don't see anyone trigger over that shit. Why do you guys only care about criticism of Son, Ndombele and Bale? You used the word limited which triggered me. But yeah I don't think there's massive differences in any of our views.
I would have if I had seen it.I've also called Kane slow, and selfish in the past, I don't see anyone trigger over that shit.
OK, Kane is a bit slow and sometimes selfish in front of goal, like when took the shot instead of passing to Vinicius yesterday.I would have if I had seen it.
Saw this post. Smashed my laptop against the wall. Screen shattered. Now can only communicate through my Nokia brick. CheersOK, Kane is a bit slow and sometimes selfish in front of goal, like when took the shot instead of passing to Vinicius yesterday.
Go wild.
