Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I agree to some extent that he seems a bit trigger shy and maybe lost some confidence in his shooting ability. It could also be that he's trying to improve his over all game for all we know. As for his pass to Kulu I didn't see a poor pass nor Son messing up his shot opportunity. Kulu was in a better position to score. Was Son unsure of himself at that moment and decided to pass? No can knows for sure but can't fault him for passing the ball for a better scoring chance.
From the position he was in he made the right choice. But his touch before that was poor and put him into that position that he didn't have the option to shoot anymore imo. He used to love a shot from outside the box and he's got an amazing shot on either foot but I've not really seen it since that stunner vs Woolwich last season.

I actually don’t think Son has ever been great at beating people with the ball at his feet unless he’s already running at full pelt like just wonder goasl v Burnley and Chelsea. I don’t think he overly ever has had a trick to beat a man when not already running at pace and with space on the other side. I’m sure there are examples which make a mockery of what I’ve said here.
No I think you're right but he seems to come short for the ball to feet a hell of a lot now and just passes it back. Imo that's not his game. I miss his well struck goals from outside the box that can come off of either foot. The regularity of his shooting seems to have fallen off of a cliff since the back end of last season.

Which irrational Asian Son fanboys here destroyed the latest discussion that forced you to call them out? Don't take it the wrong way but IMO you destroyed the discussion this time by bringing in race in to the argument. You're automatically calling them who disagrees with you in your own words "cringy little Asian Son fanboys". How would you feel if you were in their shoes? Would you think that your response was appropriate? Do you think that any of them would ever want to have a rational discussion with you after?
I like to be called 'boy', 'little' is not applicable to me though.

I am 40 years old. :contefacepalm:

Tottenham news: Club set for 'massive financial boost' after official announcement - Expert

The recently-announced pre-season tour of South Korea will bring a massive financial boost for Tottenham.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On February 15 Tottenham announced they will travel to South Korea for their 2022/23 pre-season tour.

Spurs have a massive fanbase in South Korea due to the popularity of Heung-Min Son and So-hyun Chan who both play for the club.

Wenham expects the club to play two sold-out games in the country which can provide a financial boost for the club.

“Tottenham have been planning this since 2017,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“We are the most well supported overseas club in South Korea. I believe there are more Spurs fans in South Korea than in England.

“That sounds insane but we are hugely popular over there. This poll I’m citing taken was between 18 to 41-year-olds which is the peak age for interest in football I find.

“We have the captains of the men and women’s South Korea national sides at the club so it makes sense.

“I expect us to have two massive sold-out games while we are over there which will help to raise the club’s profile.

“You would also assume there will be a massive financial boost for the club with the amount of merchandise we could shift.

“You only have to look at any home game to see the amount of South Korea flags at our home games.

“I’m really pleased for this announcement, the fans over there deserve it.”

Hes getting back to his best slowly. Most of our chances against city dont even happen without Son.

Hes not shooting from outside the box much anymore (or very well anymore). Hopefully that comes back too.

Still our second best player easily, but I think we've already seen the very best of him. Harry can adapt and change his game suitably but I don't think Son can do that quite the same. If and when he loses his pace, he's as good as fucked.

He's never been good with the ball, but it's getting fucking ridiculous now. Doesn't even press, or even shoot much.

Losing easy fucking duels, not chasing loose balls and just a complete fucking passanger under you put him through on goal.

The decision not to slide Kane in, probably was the key moment in the match tonight ( well that and Sessengon being shit and Ben Fucking Mee )
He also dribbled 60 yards, drew a foul that led to the set piece for Kane's header.
And then he also set up Kulu on the right for a clear cut chance.
Our 2 best chances of the game.

He had 4 key passes today - by far more than any other player.
Not sure what other people are watching/seeing.

A completely different game to yourself, as usual.

Anyone with eyes can see that Son was dogshit today, try as he might. His decision making was appalling.

Suppose we would have won 1-3 if Jimenez was up front.

He was nowhere even close.
Who was the MOTM? Seriously. Don't say Kane.
