I guess it came down to eye-contact or notSonny tried to accommodate Lloris by suggesting DP, but I guess Lloris wasn’t having it.
All we know for certain as well is that Son didn’t like the idea of being told off by someone in a higher rank than him in the team as well though. See how your hypothetical question kinda falls flat about Hugo not doing to Kane?A bollocking that involved the captain pushing Son and still trying to confront him after the other players had stepped in.
That's not a good standard to set.
Would Kane have answered back?
That's working on the assumption that Lloris would have criticised Kane in the first place and I don't think he would have done.
Maybe Lloris spoke to Son in a way that Son felt was out of order and he decided to stand up for himself.
More speculation. Who knows?
All we know for certain is that Lloris pushed one of his own team-mates and tried to continue the confrontation on the pitch after the players had intervened.
Some people think this is beautiful or a captain showing passion and doing his job.
I think it was unprofessional and not an appropriate response to someone answering back.
It should have been dealt with in the dressing room and not in front of the cameras.
All those rallying behind Sonny; his mouth almost certainly got the better of him. Hugo's not a rowdy geezer, but we know Sonny is prone to a little red mist and you could see him gesticulating at Hugo even before the half-time whistle....
Take a roasting from your captain on the chin and move on.
They've since kissed and made up... Can we now move on too(*)?
(*Except the Sonny fanbois... They're still spamming me with kisses.)
This makes me laugh. They both acted utterly appropriately as long as Son takes it on board it's a good thing. Then they hugged it out. Some people acting butt hurt on Sonnys behalf like Lori's wanted to deflower his sister is hilarious. I want the players like this we need MORE of this. Who is going to start on Aurier cant come quickly enough.Right.
Shoving back and forth between hyper competitive athletes is bound to happen. It's not a big deal.
If you want to move on, stop posting sh!t like this to instigate fans here.
You calling Sonny's fans "Sonny fanbois" in condescending tone, and act like you are better, but You are no different.
You do exact same thing that you criticize some of those fans do here.
My point about your avatar is that it seems you may understand/enjoy the physical confrontation that occurs within the game regardless of whether its the same team or not.
What I enjoy is seeing someone stand up to a nasty, dirty little shit like Billy Bremner.
Bremner was deliberately targeting the leg that Mackay had broken on two occasions and he quickly learned that you don't mess with Dave Mackay.
A captain pushing one of his own team-mates and still trying to get at him after other players have intervened is a completely different situation.
All we know for certain as well is that Son didn’t like the idea of being told off by someone in a higher rank than him in the team as well though.
Do people remember when the debate was is Hugo still good enough for us? Should he still be captain? Pretty clear why he is captain now, we would be lost without him
He has the label of making mistakes , but Leno/Alisson have made more mistakes than him and are lauded for their consistency.Agreed.
He's almost become underrated amongst Spurs fans because of the way they seem to go for his head if he makes a mistake.
Domestically, we've only lost 3 games in which Lloris has started and played a full 90 minutes in this season. They were at home to Newcastle, away at Chelsea and most recently away at Sheffield United.
The other 10 games we've lost domestically have seen Gazzaniga or Vorm involved.
Domestically, Spurs have kept 8 cleansheets this season. Lloris has been in goal for 5 of them. Gazzaniga keeping the other 3, one of which came in the League Cup against Colchester.
I do wonder how better off we may have been if we didn't lose Lloris to injury and if he was here for the first 11 Mourinho games where Gazzaniga was looking shaky and let in some really soft goals.
