Unfortunately with us playing Poland next Wednesday I think he will be rested. Shame, I would rather play him and let him get his stats up.

Yeah. This is a really good England team now. People will laugh but I wouldn’t be surprised if we won the World Cup next year.

They shouldn't laugh. We haven't made two semi-finals and a final in the last few years by coincidence. As a team we'll only get better with all the young players we have. Southgate just needs to be a bit more brave at times, but even he's learning and hopefully improving all the time.

I'm still not a fan of playing Rice and Phillips together, no matter who we play. They are too similar, and it puts a lot of pressure on Mount to create and although he's capable, he's more of an all round player who's best work is sometimes off the ball.
