Oh don't worry; it's perfectly clear what your point is..... To retroactively pick away at the seams to find some kind of angle to denigrate what was a popular acquisition last summer with the vast majority of our fans..... A player that has been highly productive for a number of years in the same league as us and was all set to replicate such a season for us until he got injured.

- Man U fans were pissed they didn't sign him instead of Mount.
- Arse fans were annoyed that they bought Havertz instead,
- Newcastle fans were bitter that he came here instead;] only to find that they guy the bought instead was a wrong'n that got himself banned almost immediately.

Newcastle tried to sign him and (according to the link just posted Man City tried not so long ago too).

Sorry; none of your crap washes unless you were vocally against signing Maddison at the time; which VERY few were.

But would make sense has he’s been truly awful these last few weeks which is such a contrast to how amazing he was pre-injury.

My theory (with no evidence) is that he probably needs something done to help him properly recover. But a combination of us “needing” him and the Euros this summer (and his spot not being guaranteed) means he’s ploughed on. I think now with our season having nothing to play for and his form meaning that the likes of Palmer and Eze are ahead of him in the backup-to-Bellingham pecking order, he should be taken out to do that recovery.

Ideally he gets himself right and comes back next season ready to be our starting 10 who we can build the team around for next season

Yeah I agree with that theory.

Although the Leicester fans did warn us that this is his usual script.
 
Maddison - patchy form since returning from injury ....

He was at the heart of Tottenham’s strong start to the season but has now gone eight straight matches without a goal involvement.

Good point and this is exactly how Celtic played with great effectiveness when ange coached them. If we are going to Angeball, may as well go full Angeball against a lesser team
 
I spoke to a Leicester fan about him. He told me that there are three stages to Maddison every season:

Unplayable, unavailable, uninterested

Looks like he has bought that trait with him
 
Are people really suggesting we move him on? I just don't understand some fans at all - so reactionary.
Serious injury, hes not played to his previous high standard since but fuck sake guys - the guy has unquestionable class and is totally unplayable on form.
He will come good again - absolute faith in him.

I think that is a Leicester fan spouting bullshit !
I have watched Maddison play a lot & never seen him uninterested.
He is obviously struggling to return from an injury. He is quality and will recover his pre injury form.

Funny you should say that because I don’t remember a decent game he played against us in all those years until just before he signed for us
 
It’s a shame what’s happened to this guy, at the moment he’s roughly 5 good games better than N’Dombele. That has to change, starting Saturday no more fucking around.
