Think the one positive of this 'sign em young' approach is it will be easier to find a market for these guys if we do decide to sell.

None will be on big wages and as they're still young, plenty of clubs will be interested.

Reckon we could get our money back (or close enough) for Dragusin and Odobert. Probably can instantly double or triple our money on Takai after half a season of Bundesliga football if he keeps playing. Gray and Tel might be a bit trickier as we paid decent money for them both but I reckon we could find buyers and get a reasonable fee for either if we did decide to move them on.

Meanwhile players like Bergvall (if he can stay fit) and Vuskovic are already worth multitudes of what we paid for em. Would prefer not to sell either, mind.

From a purely business perspective I can see how Levy and the club were drawn to this more Chelsea-like model. With the low wages involved there's far less risk in signing kids. Problem is, we've not signed enough quality first teamers to properly compete while the kids are still developing.
Odobert out till Xmas. Won’t be able to sell him.
Gray is our best player at the moment. We ain’t selling him or Lucas. Keep the young boys.

Yeah makes no sense for him to come back before the end of the season unless he's 100% fit and I highly doubt that will happen.

Last thing we need is for him to come back into a highly charged relegation situation and do himself in again by trying too hard when he's only at 80-90%. He's at the highest chance of re-injury when he first comes back so for the sake of his long term future at Spurs (and as a footballer) I hope he takes it slow and comes back fresh after a full pre-season.

Please be realistic with expectations. An already very injured player, one who's older, and relies on agility.

I'm definitely not expecting much.
Lol, asked a genuine question and you sound like I'm slating him for not coming back earlier. I'm just lost of the time frame he's out injured for, and with some other players TBF, and was hoping for some kind posters who could have kept track of his recovery to post a useful update.

Typically ACL injuries are around 9 months. That’s the end of April. Whilst the club have put no timeline on it, injury tracking sites don’t have him returning before the end of the season.

He’s training on grass but solo I believe, and recovering from the injury doesn’t mean match ready. We *may* see him before the end of the season, but he won’t be anywhere near the level of competitiveness we need and you could argue he may never be again.

The club didn’t register him or Deki in the Champions League squad. For me that’s telling.

I mean, even if he's "back" in April, it's not going to be a massive help. He's not just going in and playing 90 mins every game. We likely don't get one 90 min appearance.
