Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

But the reason why we can’t attract Diaz over Liverpool is because of what Levy has done over the last 4-5 years. When Poch needed backing most, Levy stood still. We are still paying for that. We were ahead of Liverpool, now we’re further behind than ever.

That didn’t happen by itself.

Maybe in part.

I think what's happened in that period is that the PL has become the acceptable playground of the filthy rich and that Liverpool got a great manager.

Levy did back Pochettino.

£100 million for Lo Celso and N'Dombele.

You hope the club go back into mediocrity for a scenario that has no chance of happening 🥴
On what planet do you live? We are the definition of mediocrity at the moment.

And Diaz isn't/wasn't an unrealistic deal. We still play in the most prestigious league and we still have a somewhat acceptable reputation - god knows why. But it's failing...

Every transfer window, Levy has a chance to save our club from mediocrity. But time and time again, he won't spend that little extra money and close the deals that could actually take the team to the next level.

The club and the fans need to lower expectations regarding signing players.
We're not in a position financially or competitively to go and get the Diaz' of the world.
What we need is the tier below. We need decent players with GREAT attitudes, who can help push us on a bit in the short to medium term.

If we keep wasting time trying and failing to sign the likes or Diaz we're going home alone for a wank over babestation at 2am

Quick bit of working backwards reveals this Liverpool Diaz stuff originated from this:

Now, not saying it’s untrue, but from my understanding ( Nabil Bentaleb Nabil Bentaleb please correct me if I’m wrong), this paper is a bit like the express and the star had a premature baby where the pregnant party was chain smoking the entire time.

Lmao quit the extremes, mediocrity is losing Conte and Kane and being firmly in mid table

Returning to mediocrity is 90s mediocrity

I agree. We should have some self awareness of what is possible. We should be looking at people like Boussuma and Lamptey to build up to the point to where we can get a Diaz.

We need a solid squad before we start adding worldies.
