God knows who we bring in but if we can get rid of as many of Doherty, Sanchez , Winks, Alli and Ndombele as possible then we're heading in the right direction. Can probably add Rodon as well, no idea why but 4 managers haven't really given him a go now and there must be a reason, so pointless him being here.
I was hoping Rodon would end up being in our back 3 with Tanganga and Romero. Hes more athletic, knows the basics, doesnt randomly fall asleep (unlike a certain boulderheaded slowpoke) and being younger has a lot of room to improve especially with our new coaches. Shame really if hes gotten rid of already.

Great player but aged 33 in February - would he want to accept a one year deal with option of another year ?
Know a guy in Wearside who was gushing about Cirkin, heard some interesting rumours about the deal.

They paid like £650k or something for him (undisclosed), but at any point in the 3 year deal if Spurs offer £5m or £6m, the offer will be accepted straight away and they also have a first option on him, if we don't take the option on him, there is a sell-on % clause for any profit over what Sunderland paid over the same period.

Heard he had been getting better and better for them before he got a hernia recently and is out until January.

I think our option to buy him for £6m expires at end of 2022/23 - ie 2 years after he left, and we also have a sell on clause.

I'd guess we will have the buy back option in the back of our minds possibly at end of this season, but more likely end of 2022/23 - possibly dependent upon how Sessegnon progresses, but he's always been regarded by Spurs youth coaches as a top player and would still count as Club trained so think there is a good chance we would exercise the option regardless .

Sunderland in League 1 this season, although currently in play off positions, would be beneficial for his experience if they got Championship experience in 22/23.

Missed on Grealish, Bruno for the likes of GLC and Ndombele

Kept Dele, Eriksen when we should have sold them two years earlier and now holding on to rapidly a declining Kane

Now add Vlahavic and Martinez to the list of players missed by ENIC

What a failure of an organization

Greelish was all but signed for £25 million, his brother confirmed this on villa forums, but the new owners stipulated he couldn't be sold as part of the takeover.

Poch chose GLC over Bruno, that was widely reported at the time.

If we'd sold Dele and Eriksen 2 years earlier, you and the other pigeonheads on here would have slated Levy for having no ambition.

No one offered Kanes value in the summer.

Vlahovic and Martinez? When were they about to sign for us?

Other than that, your post is pretty spot on.

Think this has just been a workaround for the loan as they have 5 players in at the moment which I think is the League 1 limit.

I just cannot see it with Sessegnon, didn't get to see too much of Cirkin...suitable/adaptable for a wingback role too? Could see us taking him back after a couple of years of first team football allowing for injuries etc.

They're right in the mix at the moment to go up, if he ends up with a season in L1 and then performs in the Championship it will end up a good deal.

Perisic if he is cheap is a decent option although I am not sure about the fit in the 3-5-2, as he seems to mainly play out wide on the left and isn't taking Reguilon's WB spot. I guess he could play in the left advanced MF spot in a MF 3.

But at his age is he really what we want as a starter? I guess it is better than what we currently have.

The Bremer guy from Torino seems to play mainly in the middle of the back 3 for them. Maybe he has flexibility but with that being the best spot for Romero and with Conte seemingly liking Dier there and Rodon as back-up not sure how he fits.

Again if the price is right ok, but doesn't really to fit with what we need.

Saw he’d bulked and looked much more manly early season for them…

Too much protein often causes Hernia. Hope he’s getting good guidance.

Like the kids potential the few games I’ve seen and in youth before his sad bereavement.

I feel like the recent links are even more bullshit than normal. None of them make sense except maybe that Torino defender.

I doubt Paratici and Conte are leaking much at the moment.
