Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The aggression people are showing one another on here over simply disagreeing over matters regarding a football club that ultimately we all want to do well, is quite concerning.

Do you guys speak to people like this in everyday life?
It's ridiculous isn't it.

I've never understood why some people take criticism of Daniel Levy or Joe Lewis so personally, like a family member has been insulted.

Ironically many of those same people won't hesitate to insult or attack certain players and managers when the going gets tough.

Unless all the paperwork was signed this is meaningless. And we know its wasn't signed.
Willian was much, much further down the line than this deal before we got embarrassed.

It's interesting that Spurs are upset that news of the deal got out which they believe alerted Liverpool. But that's interesting only because it shows worrying naivity from Spurs at how these things happen. They must have known there was serious Liverpool interest. For me, if the conversion didn't start with "if Liverpool come back now, will you turn them down?" then Spurs need to get their act together.
Anything other than a firm yes to that question and I'd have walked away and saved the embarrassment of it leaking out and us looking like failures yet again.

Why is there embarrasment? We tried to sign a player he chose someone else. The fans need to deal with it and stop cyring. So does Levy. shit happens onto the next one.

It's not just the Internet. You can't talk to anyone, friend or not about politics anymore. If you don't agree with who they vote for they're likely to want to fight about it.
I think this polarisation of society was aggravated by the brexit debacle tbh. Probably the worst thing to happen to this country in a generation.

Seems to have manifested itself across these pages anyway. Was a much more harmonious place before.

Probably for another thread though

The ridiculous thing JT is believing that endless criticism is somehow a meaningful way of supporting anything. Sure hold a different view, make your point and move on.

Daily support and encouragement is good, daily abuse and criticism is not.

When day in day out you repeat the same cliched criticisms? that is truly ridiculous. Unless of course you actually believe that's what support should look like? God help your friends and family is that's true.

Haha - so the USA, the most polarised society on the planet, that's aggravated by Brexit - why not blame Levy JT that makes about as much sense.

Polarisation of society is far more likely a global phenomenon caused by the internet allowing extreme left and right wing views to be normalised, by allowing sound-boxes where like minded idiots can brainwash each other into a common lunacy - that pretty much applies to everything from politics to football forums. It has bugger all to do with Brexit, Brexit may have been polarised by clickbait media and the sound-box internet, but it's only a symptom it's not a cause.

Brexit was just a symptom of how polarised society is, not the cause.

I wonder if he spoke to Conte? It's intresting in that I was told under prime Poch his personal contact with targets had players turn down bigger clubs than us. Conte seems nor short of intensity/charisma. He seems to call himself out of transfer business....shame

It’s on both sides mate.

And given how much were know about how social media abuse can affect mental health, it’s pretty shit.

Really compared tnd and glc to winks and hojberg Comparing any of them with paulinho who was in no way a CM is silly.

TN played many of his games under Jose as a 10.... He was further fwd than Kane much of the time..... Any time he played CM he proved he was too lazy for it.

GLC has rarely been played as one of 2 CMs and commonly had license to play further fwd than any other MF.

Neither a much different remit to Paulinho who had 2 of Dembele, Capoue, Sandro and Parker behind him.
