Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Its That simple in one transfer window is it!! Those 3 will automatically adapt to the premier league in jan? Wed be lucky if 1 did. Theres a reason most managers prefer to wait till summer to get them pre season under their belt

What always amuses me is....

X or Y players are repeatedly slated for being "cheap champo shite"...... and Levy is a cunt for "always trying to charge too much for unwanted players".....

Yet when it comes to fantasty-transfer-nomics, we're somehow meant to fund 3 world class players (i..e upwards of £150m) with the sale of a handfull of £5-10m so-called dregs (circa £30-£40m).

We also have to balance home grown and foreign players in thinking about transfers.

If e.g. Doherty, Rodon and Dele were sold I think it would just mean game time for players like Jack Clarke and Dane Scarlett unless the outgoings were replaced by home grown players. Either that or we flog a 20 man squad to death.

Doh' isn't HG..... Rodon is only HG in the EPL.

Your broader point is sound however. 👍

Take it up with conte so. He should come out saying he wants winks out hes not good enough.? 3 matches in a week. 'Here harry i need you to put in a shift for me after bad mouthing you to the press' 👍👍

Yet that could be what happened with Ndombele after Conte questioned his commitment in the press when he took over?

What’s the difference here?

Conte could say what he likes to Winks, he doesn’t have to go overboard publicly unless he either truly believes Winks is a “very very good player” or he knows he’s getting fuck all else to work with this winter

Something to do with his age when he was signed by Wolves I think.

Definitions:
HG= Players who were registered with a club in English FA for 3 years between 15 and 21
Club-Trained= Players who were registered with Spurs for 3 years between 15 and 21
U21 Club Players: Born after 1st Jan 2000, and have been eligible to play for Spurs for 2 years after turning 15.

Doh' has just 2 years at Wolves before he hit 21 (as far as I can fathom).

Its called having a squad thats going to be needed esp in january.
Mourinho got dogs abuse for doing exactly what you want conte to do

Anyway......back to potential transfers in the err... transfer thread

We look at three players who might be tempted in a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Stefan De Vrij

The Dutch international defender is another player Conte could look to, having worked with the central defender during his time at Inter Milan.

De Vrij has been a regular in the Inter back line since his move from Lazio back in 2018, having made 108 appearances for the San Siro club, De Vrij has quickly established himself as one of the best centre backs in world football.

The De Vrij deal could happen due to the relationship between Conte and De Vrij, with the Dutchman heaping praise on the Spurs manager last week.

Ivan Perisic

Croatian winger Ivan Perisic was a regular under Conte at Inter Milan, despite a stuttering start to his Inter career when he was loaned to Bayern Munich, with which he won the Champions League, Conte gave Perisic an integral role in his side last season as they stormed to Inter’s first Serie A title in 10 years.

With his contract due to run out in the summer, a cut price deal could be done by Spurs for the Croatian.

Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala has been constantly linked with a move to Spurs, and was in fact close to joining back in 2019.

Having signed Dybala for Juventus, Paratici could sign Dybala for the second time, having already worked with the Argentina forward, this would give Spurs the upper hand in the fight for Dybala’s signature.

Despite having a market value of £45million, Spurs could get a deal done for much less due to Dybala’s contract situation, with his current deal due to expire in the summer, Juventus could entertain a deal for a fraction of the price in order to not lose the Argentine for free come end of the season.
