Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Neither flawed nor devious. Insufficient.

Whatever... I can't see that you have a point behind your original salvo; right or wrong.

Clubs have academies. No news flash.

To flog another one of my hobby horses, because here we are again, our well-resourced academy is another way in which ENIC's Spurs are Manchester City or PSG in absolutely every way, at the bleeding edge of every best practice trend in the business and operations of being a glittering globally elite football club maximizing its revenue to the penny, with the lone exception of expenditures on first team players.

Not sovereign wealth. Not murderers. Not a sports-washing operation for an oppressive state/government.

TBH, given the context of this conversation this is absolute bollocks..... Unless you're gonna say this of any club that has an academy and strives to develop their own players...?

Bit late to the party here, but its rather telling what de Vrij has said below, effectively not emphasising that he wants to stay at Inter, but more the fact he ain't got that call yet. Paratici my man, get your ass on this deal pronto s'il vous plate!

Stefan de Vrij: "The connection is easy because the coach I worked with at Inter is now there, but I don't know anything. Conte hasn't contacted me about this. I'm focused on the national team, now this is my priority."

The issue is, this is pretty much the opposite of the sort of deal Don Levy likes to go for, due to his current age he has pretty much zilch resale value if he stays for 4-5 years. But if we really want to push on, this is the sort of player you need, lots of experience in big games, is familiar with the feeling of silverware in his hands and would almost IMMEDIATELY significantly improve our team barring 1-2 games to settle.

Assuming Conte sticks with this approximate formation.

GK; Lloris, Gollini

3 : Romero, Dier, Davies

Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon
2: Royal, Reggie
Doherty, Sessegnon
2: Hojbjerg, Skipp
Winks, Dele
2: Son, Lucas
GLC, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Gil, Clarke
1: The Guv'nor
Scarlett
I'd replace Sanchez and maybe Rodon.
It's a shame we have lost those ECL games because now would be a good time to give Sessegnon and Gil opportunities.
I would still stick with them and probably Dele. Despite what the anti-Winks fanatics on TFC think I struggle to think who we could get in who would be willing to sit on the bench a lot.
For the 2 behind Kane I really don't care too much for most of them apart from Son and hopefully Gil.
Maybe 2 in and 3 out?

Watching brozovic for Croatia. His ability on the ball is far superior to anything we have now.

Had 2 shots, 1 curling from his left foot about 1 yard from the top corner and a right foot well saved by the keeper, both from 20 yards out.

Switches the ball well which we sorely miss.

It's a little concerning that the gossip page on the BBC website seems to be mentioning everyone but Spurs. I hope conte is working with Levy and the Parasite behind the scenes because we appear to be disinterested atm. Hope I'm paranoid....

By that I assume you mean 12 PL teams went unmentioned today. Only 3 were mentioned in the context of buying players.

Yesterday:

Tottenham are interested in Club Bruges' Belgium forward Charles de Ketelaere but face competition from AC Milan for the 20-year-old's signature. (Calciomercato - in Italian)

Friday:

Spurs are interested in signing 21-year-old Juventus and Sweden winger Dejan Kulusevski. (Calciomercato - in Italian)

Your desperation to appear down with the (un)cool kids is extremely cringe-worthy..... Surely you realise this, right?

Hope I'm paranoid....

Nah, just a little too keen to endear yourself to a certain corner of the playground.

Who gives a shit what the BBC gossip page says lmao they know fuck all, it's all based on the most spurious shit going.

There's not a chance in hell we aren't looking at anyone for January.

Accrington Stanleys ability on the ball from central midfield is far superior to ours.

It is frankly incredible how shit we've allowed our midfield to become. Doesn't feel that long ago at all we used to bully teams in that area under Pochettino, physically teams couldn't cope, with Eriksen also baring the creative load.

Our biggest priority area by far IMO, if we wish to become a proper Conte side.

From the Department of Statements of the Bleeding Obvious, but interesting to see it phrased that way and an important thing to understand.

Being in breach of FFP with that Everton team…
