Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Well if he hasnt done that by now he aint gonna
Unfortunately, we live in a horrible world where racism is getting worse thanks to faceless, no-consequence, internet trolls. Players from all over the place are getting it and becoming more and more expectant that they will get more.
This will lead to them jumping to conclusions more often. He should have said something after the event, but he also sounds convinced he heard something. You can't rewind real life to check something again to satisfy yourself it didn't happen.

IF we were to sign him, fans will make these noises and, I suspect at that point, he'd have to say something.

What use are links??? We always get linked to everyone and get no one.
Fabrizio posted links about Trippier already days go - deal was done early

We've done fuck all so far it seems - hoping for a last day bargain bin special probably. You can mock the Saudis all you want but they clearly have some kind of plan - as usual Levy will be a reactive cunt waiting on someone to pay 40m for Winks

I suppose they have to react quickly as their premiership status is at risk.
But yes as a club we do seem to do things at a snails pace especially in recruiting the drawn out process is quite boring but that is spurs.
Although I don't think many of us are expecting much to happen other than last minute outgoing to reduce the wage bill.

Here we go - Levycunt getting ready to ruin another window

Don't say "here we go" in the transfer thread....was about to search for Levycunt on YouTube

their plan is signing players who are out of favour, will have little resale after their contract, and aren't in demand. Their is a certain type of player they will attract and it's a very small market. It's why we joke about throwing Dele their way. He will only appeal to the minority of which Newcastle at this point in time are one.

Are people seriously getting their knickers in a twist because Newcastle are signing a 31 year old right back we sold years ago?

It's January. As much as I hate Levy and ENIC for the way they've run the club, there's 2 decades of evidence that none of the top half clubs do much business in the January window.

Who have City, Liverpool. Chelsea, Woolwich and West Ham signed to date?
No one., that's who. Not one player between the entire top 6 of the premier league.

Calm your fucking tits down. There's nothing happening at Spurs that is any different to the rest of our rivals this season.

every transfer window we have the same melting, it's like clockwork:

Levycunt, ENIC bots, Levylovers

At the end of most transfer windows the majority feel on reflection that decent business has been done (on paper).

Not sure this is going to be any different. I really want Conte backed, I hope those around him have seen the difference a top coach makes and are keen to give him the tools he requires. I don't believe he has a gun to Levy's head saying "give me a player by Friday" but has show where the issues are and is expecting this to be sorted.

If they don't back him and he walks i'll be join the crowd to protest. I'll wait through until the window closes.

The point is around making moves early and be proactive not reactive

Our team needs the shithousery that someone like Rudiger abundantly offers
I FUCKING HAAATE THAT CUNT.

I don't want to have people like that playing for our club.

Does it mean we'll never win? No, I don't think so. But it does mean I can continue to respect and admire some of our players. Toby and Jan weren't like that and they were fantastic. You don't have to act like Ramos, Rudiger, Wise, Keane, etc. to be great. Yes, they have/had great careers, but I despise them and would not be proud to have them at spurs.

Admittedly, there's a fine line between 'shithousery' and 'cuntbaggery'. Chiellini has a nut either side, Ramos and Rudiger are well over it.

EDIT: I forgot about Lamela. Kind of invalidates my point. Leaving here for reference.

People melting already despite deals under Paratici being proven to from "nowhere".

Sarr, Gil and Emerson were signed with no build up. That Moriba deal was nearly done too without a prior sniff.

We seem to have got better at keeping our targets under wraps.

Obviously things are being worked on behind the scenes but as usual (as is the case for most teams) the players will probably arrive in the last week of Jan.

totally agree. People have short memories, he didn't want a contract renewal, and from that point his form and commitment went through the floor.. it was nearly two seasons!

It’s incredible how much shit people on here give our former players.

But this takes the cake and is so ironic. “People have short memories”… “it was nearly two seasons”.

So I guess he was absolute shit in all of his second to last season? Where he scored 8 / assisted 12 in the PL, and scored 2 / assisted 4 in the Champions League - you know, the year when we were in the CL final?

What a joke.

He was indeed very bad in his last season imo. As was the rest of the team, but Eriksen perhaps stood out.

Nonetheless, he was consistently our top/top3 performer since 2013, playing more than 300 games, scoring 69 goals and assisting 90 times, and being one of the driving forces behind our best years in recent history.

Boiling that down to him being a “good player for a couple of years” is completely ridicolous and an attempt to rewrite history.

That said I’m not necessarily a fan of signing him now, but considering the current state of our CM’s and how people are constantly moaning over them, it is a bit weird not to consider him an option.

January 2021 - no big signings for anyone

2020 - Man United the only active top team. We Got Fenanded and Bergwjin and made GLC permanent.

2019 - Chelsea did a bit of business, none of the other top teams

2018 - Woolwich signed Auba and swapped Mkhitaryan for Sanchez to United. Chelsea got some ageing freebies. Liverpool got VDV but mainly because they failed in the prev summer. We signed Moura.

2017 - City signed Jesus not much else at all.

Just give it a rest. It's rare anyone, money or not, goes on a spree in January. It's usually the bottom half clubs spending in a desperate bid to stay up.

Eriksen was apprehensive in the tackle before his heart problems, I'm not sure it'll do him or us any good if he carried on playing.

Think we should invite him to train, if he wants, to get as fit as he safely can.

Then think he should be given a significant counselling course before being allowed to play, to ensure he is settled and not dissonant on his risk profile (he has a child now who needs a paternal figure in their life, to consider within this).

Would like to see him play in the USA or somewhere he can be given freedom to trot.
