From what I seem to recall reading not long ago, La Liga clubs are due a massive influx of money after the league sold some commercial rights to a pension fund or something like that. Which is something Barca used to keep the wolves back from the door.
And in France, Amazon has invested in the league for TV rights and there are talks of LFP (the org that runs Ligue 1) working on a commercial deal similar to what was done in Spain. Could bring billions to be shared between the clubs.
But it's more likely that Dombs and Gio do well for OL and Villareal, and that they then get signed by a PSG, Real, Newcastle...
The only highlights they could find are from his previous time in Lyon.
Which shows what total bollocks it is when so many of our transfer deals drag on for weeks and even months.
Get to the last day of a window and you get them done in a day or 2. There is no reason that can't happen without it being the end of the window.

As the summer proved; he's thoroughly locked into his deal so there's no motivation to keep him sweet like there may have been a few years back.

Fair. I think the outgoing are very important because they are hard to move players and we know they have bombed out here. While I'm not impressed, at least this tells us they have finally identified those players won't be of value to us and need to leave.
And if he doesn't?
It's not like Gil where we want him back and think that a loan can continue to develop him. It's over for Dele at Spurs.
I'd rather take the money now instead of gambling to see if it pays off later on. If we have a buyer now, we need to take it. We can't afford to hit the summer window and potentially have Tanguy, Gio, and Dele all coming back. We need to start offloading as much as possible.

we did some rotations, but with those players we lost with mura and morecambe.

It's easier to make deals at the end of the window because there is a lack of games. The clubs don't need the players anymore, so they're more willing to sell.
I think Lo Celso, Ndombele and Sissoko have proven that a mediocre tryer like Sissoko added far more value to the club than skilled players with a poor attitude/fitness.

We have to be bringing someone else in. As stated ad nauseum in this thread-we're awfully thin with losing 3 CM in really the last few hours.
Ideally I'd want a RWB and CM, but with the loss of Tanguy, Gio, and Dele....I'd think another CM would be a priority here.
