This is a good question.

Complicated by Klopp leaving. If the price is still 80m in the summer for the player that puts us in a position to capitalize of Klopp leaving Liverpool, should he blink?

Will this opportunity come around again so soon?

My guess is that Liverpool flip Salah and Van Dijk to Saudi for about 200m and then give that to the new manager. Are we going to play poor again and not compete for elite players?
It's a good point, but that doesn't mean we'll be directly competing for the same players, nor does it mean the market will remain inflated.

Who knows how many players the new manager would want? If he needs to rebuild in his own image, that £200M would need to be spent wisely, as they don't have too much more wiggle room with P&S. They may see more need for frugally astute buys, rather than direct 'like for like' replacements of those 2. FWIW, I can't see VVD going to Saudi, not if he has a chat with Henderson first. Salah might, but he's been living a Western life for decades now, would he be any different?

It is an interesting question though, which only time will tell on.

It stops Newcastle cruising past as as quickly as we thought they would.
But they'll just build a big new stadium and claim they have generated a billion pound income or something in the next few years.

It's why this summer (and even this window now) could be a massive opportunity for us. Liverpool may fuck up the Klopp replacement, United are a shambles, another year of nothing much for Arteta could happen, Chelsea a shit show and Newcastle totally crippled by FFP despite having more money than the rest of the human race.
If we don't sense an opportunity here and go for it, we absolutely never will.
City will probably get relegated as well so yeh agree with your overall point.

When?
The amount of cases they have against them will take years to go through.
Everton with one,took 8 months.

"Some time before the end of next year"

Everton & City 2 completely diff scenarios....... The former was cut n dried and they didn't even contest it.

Getting a bit concerned were signing wingers. Has ange heard of a striker before. Doing a great job but why are we signing wingers all the time. The objective is to score goals.

The way we play in Ange ball doesn't require the type of striker that you probs thinking of.

Run, press, finish in 1 or 2 touches. That is the brief for an Ange striker. Richy and Son both pretty decent at it.

WF's are the ones in this system that create the most. That's why we are looking at them imo because outside Son, none of them are gamechangers. At least not yet.

, Werner can play there too.

What an absolute pile of opinion laden waffle.

"A very angry Italian coach banging down the door?"

He'd only just joined us you goose!
He was here almost 3 months by the end of January when we signed Kulusevski and Bentancur.

I implore you to have a read of some of his interviews from his early months for context as to how angry and demanding he was early doors.
