He's already aged 23, older than several of Spurs current first team, and despite being mentored by Poch and tried out on several positions over a few years has shown he is not good enough, with a number of errors in his game.

I suspect several of out youth are rated more highly than Foyth and younger.

Foyth could be better suited to a slower less intense league than PL, and I suspect that is his future
 
Tanganga and Rodon have already shown more in far less appearances, they also look like they both could put on muscle and are less likely to get sent off for knee high challenges and hang on to the ball less.

Plus he's not a right back despite having to adapt his game to get regular football IMO.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. He seems very suited to La liga as he seems not to be able to handle the physicality and speed of the league
 
Foyth excellent today by most accounts playing CB for Villarreal. Not sure he'd even be cut out for PL, but the growth of these players is stifled when they spend all year in a squad and start 5-10 games at that age. Just look at the physical development of Skipp with 30 senior matches in his legs. Hard to know what the likes of Foyth and Clarke have potential to be when they spend such long stretches stagnant. Might watch back his game later if I get the chance.

Yeah, turning into a very handy utility player who can play CB, DM, RB.

People wanting to stick just a RB label on him is just dumb.

Handled right, would be an awesome DM as his main gig.

I think he's a defensive RB or CB myself. Just don't think he see's enough of the field(360 view) to play DM, and he only carries the ball well in straight lines. His passing range is good from CB but there's a tightness to his technique in midfield. I dunno, there's just a feeling I get watching him that he's not suited to DM, but would be a good CB if he can develop more physically and mentally with games under his belt. I don't even strongly mean for us, he mightn't be that level.

Foyth had a change of position for Villarreal on Sunday and it was one that took him back to his natural position.

The 23-year-old has spent much of this season playing at either right-back or in a defensive midfield role for Unai Emery's side.

However, he was back in the centre of defence at the weekend, playing the full game as his side won 3-1 at Eibar.

In midweek he played 90 minutes at right-back in the 2-0 Europa League victory at Dynamo Kyiv.

Foyth has become an important part of the Villarreal defence in recent weeks after a slow start to his time in Spain.

Villarreal have an option to purchase Foyth at the end of his loan in Spain and he has now made 23 appearances for his loan club, with 11 in La Liga.

Nice bit of play from Foyth here in the build to Villarreal's second goal today against Cadiz. Best I've seen him play in the midfield role and he's playing well at RB and CB recently. An improved player.

I forgot about him. Never was a premier player
 
I'll say it again.
Having a great loan because he's perfectly suited to la liga.

He cannot handle the physicality and intensity of the Premier league. he's too weak. Not a bad player though and he will have a very good career in a different league.

Do you think he could adjust to the PL ?

Still young, not played much etc etc.
I'm not advocating for it, but interested in your opinion.
