Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So, someone peddles a disagreement and Walker suddenly stops starting games. Cool.

Just a big coincidence I guess. Never mind.
He's rotated him for the past two fucking seasons mate, there is nothing new. He's done the same with Rose/Davies. Trips is the second choice, always has been, so is selected to play against the shit teams and when Walker is thought that he isn't at physical his optimum.

Don't think Trippier has ever started 3 league games in a row for us. Ever. Let alone over the space of 7 days. Two of which being the last ever NLD at the Lane or the last ever game at the Lane against Utd. Not to mention the FA Cup semi final.

Trippier started 6 league games all season. 5 of which came in the final month of the season.

He started about 3 all last season. Usually over the busy Christmas period.

I guess Walker was just unfit.

Some were our designated Club Captains though. Then Danny Osvaldo whilst at Southampton, he brought him in, he was regular first team selection, Poch dropped him like a hot potato when Osvaldo throw his first punch.

You might be right mate, all I'm suggesting is that Poch might not be as inflexible as he has appeared in the past. Wasn't Osvaldo a troublemaker? No one is suggesting that Walker is, but I would understand if he was pissed off about not starting the cup semi-final. Any player would have been. These things happen, and I trust Poch to handle them discreetly and in house. (If indeed that was the case).

Already mentioned the semi, a surprise to fans for sure but League without doubt the priority in Poch eyes. Look who the games were against, absolute shite. It's at the end of a long season too. He played 22 games this year, 19 the season before, no one mentioned a thing last year, in fact it was a brilliant piece of management the previous year, everyone was talking about it. The press made a thing of the rotation, we made a thing of the rotation, the players even made a thing about it, telling everyone how they have pushed themselves and the competition has improved them. Remember that??

Only one thing is different this year, everyone wants to buy our players and the press/media are bang up for a bit of copy too. We don't pay much = others pay more. Need to find a reason and angle so wouldn't it be great to create a bit of shit, say a player is fucked off because he is rotated, despite improving his game and said player previously acknowledging that it is the rotation that is a main reason why he is improved and how much he enjoys and relishes the competition. He has actually come out and said this is numerous interviews but now it's the reason he's fucked off with Poch. What??

and it has been dealt with discreetly. The only mention of the player being pissed is one that links him conveniently away to a rival club that coverts him. No mention otherwise, it's been stage managed.

If the 'media' want Walker to go to their multi-billionaire flavour of the month Man City... then he's as good as gone... and they won't leave it alone until he goes!

Shame really, 'cos he's probably due a testimonial soon isn't he?
(Mind you, He'll probably get more in signing on fees at €IT¥ than a testimonial could ever offer him... so I reckon it's no big deal to him!)

It does look like some momentum is building around this story though. Personally I would still tell City to do one.

Tottenham eye Ricardo Pereira to replace Man City-bound Kyle Walker

if Walker did moan about selection or his fitness data then all that talk about Trippier pushing him to be better is bollocks.
Obviously not a team man if he cannot take being rotated for the last 11 or so games of a very long season.
He made 31 starts in the league didn't he? Good luck starting in all the CL, PL and FA cup fixtures at Man City

Joel Veltman and Matthias Ginter are both central defensive targets, while Spurs remain interested in Everton’s Ross Barkley. Everton’s £50m valuation of Barkley is a big hurdle, but Tottenham hope the asking price might drop the longer the transfer window is open.

The "homesick" and "trains to Sheffield" stuff was done on page 47, around 900 messages ago..... Plus there will be some on the transfer window and other threads.....

The media can just play people like stringed instruments, manipulating their view on a genuine Tottenham stalwart for years

Rumours could be complete bollocks at this point........thats the danger of baseless news.
Fair enough.
I agreed with Madrids statement, because i am sick of players messing us about. If they want to leave, then leave.
I treated it as paper talk to start with, but i believe there's truth in it now
If it turns out to be bollo, then i will retract my "agree".
Roll on deadline day....And not for the bi annual melt down on here :)
