It makes me so damn happy to see our squad players actually putting in performances when they get the chance (Davies, Winks, Alli, Bergwijn, etc.)

For the last few years, on paper, we’ve had more depth in terms of internationals and touted signings than we’ve ever had in my memory. And yet, when they’ve gotten chances in cups and due to normal rotation it feels like they could never actually seize the opportunity. And then you have to hear the bullshit in the press about them not being pleased about playing time like they hadn’t fucked up their chance.

Long may this level of motivation and performance from squad players continue. In modern football you have to have a squad to compete, there’s simply too many competitions in club and international football to only rely on 12 or 13 players like we did in the peak Pochettino years.

Their delivery from set pieces and crossing positions are the best in the league. Defence coped with them fine. Brought a few saves yes but that's part of the defence isn't it?? Their only goal was a gift from us!

The defense didn't cope with it fine, WH had multiple wide open chances that they flubbed on their own not because of the defense.

Relying on the other team to fuck up is not dealing with anything.

Our good scouser friends are 3-1 down,

what a pity
How sad, bad ref again?

Amazing how many times in this game and the last one commentators have suggested that Spurs should be "well-rested and full of energy". Do they not know about the Covid outbreak, or do they not understand the impacts of not training for 10 days right in the middle of the season? Not to mention impacts of the virus itself? :/

I don't recall Doherty ever doing anything that cost us a game, the issue with him was that he just didn't bring anything to it.
Same tonight, he hasn't done anything wrong, and has been decent, but don't recall him doing anything worth calling out.

He hurts us by not doing anything.

He might not have any big errors that lead to goals but his lack of defense leaves wide open spaces for the opposition, his inability to cross the ball means our attack is limited, his lack of passing hurts us going forward.

How do figure we didn't cope with it? West ham didn't score from any of it. Headed balls away, great sages from Hugo. West ham didn't fuck up. Missing the target or bringing out a save from the keeper is not fucking up.
